**Who is reporting Scope 3 emissions?** - Of the 20 leading construction companies analyzed in a recent GlobalData report, 14 reported Scope 3 emissions in 2022, up from two in 2019. - For many companies, Scope 3 reporting and emissions reduction plans are ongoing and developing goals, with a few in the process of extending coverage to include Scope 3 targets in pre-2035 commitments. - Few companies have made substantial progress in reducing Scope 3 emissions, with the most successful reducing Hyundai Engineering & Construction, with a 28% overall decrease between 2021 and 2022, by a reduction of 2,623,000 t CO2 equivalent. - Several companies have seen growth in Scope 3 emissions, but this is often due to improvements in measurement and the addition of further Scope 3 categories over time. #netzero #construction #scope3
