Film Techniques The Forward Tracking Shot or also known as a Dolly In “🎥 Dolly In Shot Breakdown 🎥 • Subject Focus: Our camera tracks forward towards Nick as he emerges onto the balcony. • Coordinated Movement: The groomsmen simultaneously open the doors, enhancing the visual flow. • Composition: By raising their glasses, they create leading lines, drawing attention directly to Nick. • Technique Utilized: This dolly in shot adds depth and enhances viewer engagement by moving the camera smoothly towards the scene. Employing this cinematic technique, we effectively highlight key moments in Bailey and Nick’s wedding, ensuring every detail is captured with precision. #WeddingVideography #DollyIn #CinematicWedding”

Introducing the Argus Bullet Time camera array, the worlds most advanced and accurate Bullet Time rig for production and events. The main advantage of the system is that you’re not limited to the precise time frame of a trigger press, you can change that moment indefinitely to a different point, again and again, after filming the sequence. The system can create 240 bullet time shots per second, one every 4 milliseconds. #zcam #bullettime #timeslice #cameraarray #incameraeffects #creativefilmmaking #creativevideography #splashphotography #liquids #slowmotion #tabletopcinematography #visualengineering

Do you know how light plays a major role in creating pictures/videos/films or anything in front of camera? Here is how: 1. Key Light: •The main source of light in a scene, and the brightest one. positioned to one side of the lens in order to draw attention •To the main subject and cast shadows across it. •Outlines the features of the subject and establishes the general tone. 2. Fill Light: •To lessen the shadows cast by the main light, place it across from it. •Not as bright as the main light, but yet sufficient to fill in shadows and give general illumination. •Helps lessen contrast and adjust the illumination. 3. Backlight (Rim Light): •Located behind and to the side of the subject. •The subject's edges are illuminated, setting them off from the background. •Gives the picture more depth and substance. #lighting #lights #videoproduction #videography #adfilms #movie #filmmaking #filmproduction

The Steadicam, invented by Garrett Brown in the 1970s, revolutionized film production by offering a novel solution for smooth camera movement. Before this invention, filmmakers relied on heavy equipment like dollies and tracks for stable shots, which was restrictive and cumbersome. The Steadicam's counterweighted system allowed for a free-floating camera, enabling more dynamic and fluid movement through various environments without the limitations of traditional setups. This innovation greatly expanded the creative possibilities for filmmakers, allowing for smooth shots in tight or uneven spaces. It was notably used in iconic films like "Rocky" (1976) for the famous stair-running scene, and in "The Shining" (1980), where it contributed to the film's eerie atmosphere with smooth tracking shots. #CleverstreetFilms #SteadicamRevolution #GarrettBrownInnovation #CinematicStabilization #FilmMakingEvolution #SmoothCinematography #CameraTechBreakthrough #DynamicFilming #CinemaTechHistory #SteadicamImpact #CreativeCinematography

What a great job they did on the old Tramsheds site in Glebe. It's very easy to forget what it once looked like as my old medium format film image shows. Everyone snuck in at some stage to take a sneaky pic or two. So glad it didn't become appartments. • • #commercialphotography #locationphotography #mediumformat #glebe #tramsheds #sydney #editorialphotography #landscapephotography #contemporaryphotography
