Strabismus is also known as an eye turn. It also goes by other descriptions of crossed eyes, in-turned eye, or out-turned eye. (Rarely, it can also show us as an eye pointing upwards or downwards when the other is straight.) It’s a muscle condition where your eyes are not properly aligned with each other, and for a variety of reasons, one or both of your eyes may turn in, out, up or down. Often hereditary, strabismus affects mostly children, and with proper treatment, it may be remedied – though without treatment it may become worse. Don’t ignore strabismus. Get it checked out immediately.
