Ardagh Group publishes sustainability roadmap https://lnkd.in/epU9mqss Ardagh Group Ardagh Group has published Sustainability Roadmap, for its operating businesses – Ardagh Glass Packaging and Ardagh Metal Packaging. The report updates the status to targets for Ardagh’s sustainability pillars—Emissions, Ecology and Social—and, for the first time, includes decarbonisation roadmaps that further detail Ardagh’s 2030 SBTi ambitions. “We aim to achieve our 2030 emissions targets through a broad range of actions outlined in the roadmaps,” said Alex Winters, Chief Sustainability Officer, Ardagh Glass Packaging. “We are quite proud of our progress to date, and we have confidence in our initiatives and partnerships to fulfil our commitments.” For more on Ardagh’s sustainability pathway, click here.

Koehler Group achieves platinum EcoVadis rating for highly ambitious climate efforts 🌍🚀 With an outstanding 90 out of 100 points, Koehler Holding SE & Co. KG is among the top 1% of all companies assessed worldwide in the wood, pulp, paper, board and cardboard manufacturing industry. This award from the renowned sustainability assessment platform EcoVadis confirms the company's leading role in sustainable development. 🌱 The very good result was achieved because the company is characterized by its sustainable procurement strategies and its extremely ambitious commitment to climate protection. Our Elanco Manufacturing and Quality (M&Q) team is dedicated to delivering our customers solutions for healthier animals and people. Thrilled that this year’s ESG report also highlights the tangible actions we’re taking within M&Q to also protect the health of our planet and enterprise. We have an obligation to ensure that in all ways, what we’re making truly does make life better. As a student about to complete my master's study in Environment and Resource Management, I am excited to contribute my knowledge and skills to the continuously evolving role of sustainability experts.

The new EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive is, for sure, one of the current topics on companies’ agenda. Next to authorities, industry leaders and sustainability experts, I had the pleasure to join the discussions about the opportunities and risks of the CSRD during the roundtable organized by Carrefour România and French Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Romania. For me it was a good opportunity to showcase the DRS as an example of best practices in the area of sustainability and highlight how the biggest circular economy project in Romania can change mindsets and foster a culture of responsibility. The Deposit Return System aligns with the circular economy goals outlined in the EU Green Taxonomy, facilitating high recycling rates, reducing litter, and lowering demand for virgin materials. In less than one year, the Romanian DRS has achieved outstanding results. Over 2.3 billion DRS containers have been returned in the first 10 months and 144,000 tons of high-quality materials were directed to recyclers, ensuring these valuable resources are reintegrated back into the market and not wasted. From our experience, as administrator of the DRS in Romania, transparency and accountability through reporting have strengthened trust in RetuRO and the DRS. This also aligns with the CSRD goals, showing that comprehensive reporting isn’t just a regulatory obligation – it’s a powerful tool for building public confidence and reinforcing corporate responsibility.
