Looking back on the last 8 months of my internship with KETV, I’m filled with gratitude. In January, I walked into the station eager, but still feeling unsure about my college path. After my first week, that uncertainty was replaced with assurance that I was exactly where I needed to be. I’d like to extend a thank you to every single person at KETV. The positive mentorship I’ve experienced is immeasurable!

We're honored to be named the first-ever Television Station of the Year by the NEBRASKA BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION. Congrats to the other finalists and to all of Nebraska's journalists who work hard every day to keep local news alive in our communities. KETV was also honored with Gold Awards for Best Newscast for KETV NewsWatch 7 at 6, Sean Everson was awarded Best Weathercast, 'Voices of Gen Z' won a Gold Award for Service to Children, our flood documentary and interactive digital work was honored with Best Use of Multimedia Journalism and the KETV Sports Team won Gold & Silver for Best On-the-Scene Sports reporting for March Madness coverage and our Road to the Title volleyball special from Tampa! Thank you to our viewers who continue to turn to us for your news, weather, sports, and important special programming.

The first-ever "First News from the Field" really knocked it out of the park! The KETV team took the show on the road to Charles Schwab Field Omaha for Opening Day of the NCAA Men's College World Series! We are incredibly grateful to MECA and the NCAA for the opportunity and their partnership and as Omaha's Weather Leader we're proud to be the Official Forecaster of the CWS! PLAY BALL!
