Yet, for many in New Zealand, this period isn’t about discounts — it’s a reminder of the daily struggle to meet basic needs, with families worrying about food, utilities, and essentials for their children. This Black Friday, we decided to give our customers the choice: either GET 20% off your order or GIVE your 20% to our chosen charity, Meat The Need. Meat the Need use meat, milk, and monetary donations to ensure that food parcels reach those who need them. We are proud to stand alongside them this Black Friday. We're honored to announce that five outstanding nonprofits addressing food insecurity in New Jersey have received a combined $25,000 in State Strategic grants from the American Water Charitable Foundation: Community FoodBank of New Jersey, Food Bank of South Jersey, Fulfill, Mercer Street Friends, and Norwescap. As an organization deeply rooted in the communities we serve, we nominated these food banks for their unwavering dedication to ensuring residents have access to nutritious meals. My heart goes out to everyone affected by the devastating wildfires that have impacted our beloved California this week. At The Honeycomb Project, we remain dedicated to supporting our community, especially in times of uncertainty. Recent federal policy changes have temporarily disrupted funding for many organizations, including Honeycomb partners, but we are committed to continue delivering essential programs and services for our Chicago community. We are already witnessing the devastating impact of these budget cuts—food pantries are being disrupted or completely cut off from supplies, and our nonprofit partners are struggling to meet the growing needs of their clients as critical services vanish. Our neighbors facing housing instability, food insecurity, legal uncertainty, and other challenges are losing access to the critical resources they depend on. Now, more than ever, our Chicago community needs support.
