During Brazing of Copper Pipe, some amount of Nitrogen is bleed into copper pipe to prevent the formation of Oxides. 5 - 15 PSI depending on the specific application, this pressure helps minimises oxidation, ensuring stronger and cleaner joints. If TOYO spray is used, no Nitrogen bleeding is required. Number of Spraying depend upon the pipe size. Protects the Copper pipe from Oxidation when welding.

Important Recommendation about stub-in nozzle (pipe or storage tank) and reinforcement acc. to my experience Stub-in Nozzle and reinforcement details, welding, testing and operation must be as follows. Stub-in nozzle is recommended only low pressure and temperature. High pressure and high temperature application, Tee or weldolet is recommended (you can see about this subjet at my previous sharing) 1- Fit-up check and perform weld 1 2- PT and UT check for weld 1 both sides if accessible 3- Install reinforcing pad, fit-up check and perform weld 2 and weld 3 4- Air and soap test for weld 1, 2 and 3. . Soap solution is important. Home detergant can contain chloride or other harmful substances for steel. Chloride can start stainless steel stress corrosion cracking and severe corrosion for carbon steel. Therefore, approved leak detector spray usage is essential. 5- After Hidro Static test the system, screw the weep hole with1/4" plug to protect from corrosion 6- Before shut-down off the system unscrewed the plug and monitor any leak from weep hole. Note: During operation any weld defect inside weld 1 can grow and cause leak. In case of leak we can see it from weep hole and take action about this leak.
