Part of Vesterbrogade, one of the busiest roads in the Copenhagen, is being closed to traffic to create a temporary urban park. This bold experiment, happening in the heart of the city, and speaks directly to the future I envision in my article on "how to reimagine mobility in a world obsessed with cars". This week began with a visit to the city of Copenhagen, Denmark and a very special Kyriba client who I won’t name for privacy reasons. 🤫 It was my first time visiting this remarkable city and after doing some research and some exploring, I was struck by how forward thinking the Danish lifestyle really is. 🇩🇰 Copenhagen isn’t just a city—it’s a vision of the future. From sustainability to innovation, here’s why I believe it’s leading the way: ✅ Sustainability at Its Core: Copenhagen aims to be the world’s first carbon-neutral capital by 2025. With extensive bike lanes, green energy initiatives, and eco-friendly architecture, it’s a model for cities worldwide. ✅ Human-Centric Design: The city prioritizes livability with accessible public spaces, pedestrian-friendly streets, and a focus on community well-being. ✅ Innovation Hub: As a leader in green technology, urban design, and smart city solutions, Copenhagen attracts visionaries and entrepreneurs shaping the world of tomorrow. ✅ Collaborative Spirit: Its success lies in a culture of collaboration between government, businesses, and citizens—all working toward a shared vision of progress. Copenhagen reminds us that a better future is possible when people and the planet come first. 🌟 What lessons can other cities learn from Copenhagen? Let’s discuss! 💬 #Copenhagen #Sustainability #Innovation #UrbanDesign #Kyriba #Treasury #Finance #Progressive #SocialImpact

A simple change but very effective.
Quick change is inspiring and empowering for more similar actions for more liveable cities. A place transformation from grey to green and social is also a great lense for future cities. Even large urban areas or districts can start from one spot - just like here in the Stadt Luzern where the street along the lake has been transformed into a welcoming place, and for few to many. Along with the Parkly modular pocket park the speed limits have been lowered and the street is a shared space. If you are working on urban transformation projects, there is still time to make things happen this summer 🌿 Parkly is not just circular, modular and flexible - it’s also quick in production and installation. We are happy to tell more about our solutions for creating better places! Read more: https://parkly.city

Is the concept of the "productive city" a good idea? 🏙️ If we want to reduce our dependence on globalized supply chains and at the same time use regional value chains for the ecological restructuring of the economy and society, we should think about it. Because what will make city centers attractive in the future? 🌟 Where will urban society meet, how can spaces be used differently and better? It's worth taking a look at Stuttgart, where the Internationale Bauausstellung 2027 StadtRegion Stuttgart (IBA’27) is radically rethinking the productive city in Winnenden and Fellbach. The title "Agriculture meets Manufacturing" makes us very curious. You too? 👉 Why is the productive city worthwhile? https://lnkd.in/dDYSSScP #transformation #urbandevelopment #innovation #future fotocredit: IBA’27 / F. Kraufmann
