Position Overview:Industrial Engineers apply advanced problem-solving techniques and Lean Manufacturing principles to develop and optimize factories to maximize throughput, efficiency, and value. Industrial Engineers are involved in Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layout, Line Balancing, Simulation and Process Modeling, Labor Performance Analysis, Process Mapping, and Project Management. Responsibilities: Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.Participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements.Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion, Manufacturing Technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.Partner with project managers and other functions to execute projects that modify the factory footprint, change the layout of factory equipment, and/or add new capability.Support competitive bids, factory proposals, business case development for future investments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.Qualifications You Must Have:Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the Manufacturing industry. - Oh I guess 20+ years might be the preverbal overqualified. Over fives of those building the North American market for a Danish startup in the exact same space. 2. Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer with a strong track record in sales. - How about 7 years as a consulting manager before 20+ in sales 3. Extensive knowledge and experience in maintenance, power transmission, steel, bearings, ball bearings, roller bearings, and industrial chain. - As I said over five years growing the North American market for a Danish startup in the CMMS/EAM market with customers across the industrial spectrum. 4. Proficiency in rotary motion, rotating, gears, belts, chains, and heavy machinery. - How does customers in steel and aerospace fit 5.
