Interesting take on remote work in healthcare. Since the pandemic, the practice has becoming more prevalent for several reasons - including reducing costs associated with the traditional ‘brick and mortar’ framework; improved efficiency (presuming it can be measured); and the shift in workforce expectations and experience. Organizations that can balance all aspects of remote work most effectively will likely be above the curve as the industry continues to shift. https://lnkd.in/gY8bf6k3

Just sharing an article that I came across regarding “mid-level” providers on Bloomberg.com. As the healthcare industry continues to shift towards standardization and productivity benchmarking, the likelihood of NP utilization increasing is likely. As patients (aka consumers), continue to demand “retail” healthcare experiences, it is likely that the traditional provider model is not sustainable. Early morning, late evening, and weekend demands for availability can only be supported by utilizing NP’s to expand patient panel capabilities for ambulatory practices. https://lnkd.in/ge_9CaRt

I came across this interesting article on Beckers regarding gun violence across the nation and the impacts on the healthcare system. A byproduct of the violence is having a direct impact on safety (patients, staff, and providers) - contributing to the complexity of improving outcomes. https://lnkd.in/g7Unig-s

As we quickly approach the mid-point of Q2-2024, I was interested to see how YE2023 predictions compared to the actual outcomes of 2024, through April. Social determinants, managing readmissions, and mitigating HAI’s continue to be high priorities as we enter the last seven months of this year. https://lnkd.in/gZ2SkSRx
