By surprising him with the unique design and innovation encapsulated in the Virtue V10 T-Top model. 💪 🛟 When Tom Montgomery-Swan of Powerboat and RIB first heard about the Virtue V10 T-Top, he was skeptical. He thought it was just another typical Nordic Adventure project. From now on, it's not just "Motor" or "Sail" or "Explorer" yachts- new categories and genres of yacht design are starting to emerge in the last few years, and we find that very exciting. One that we have seen as a nascent opportunity is in longer vessels that are lower volume, like our Project Javelin here. At 65m, it is not a short yacht, but here the design is very open and caters to more immediacy of use, supporting more "quick deployments" for spontaneous trips, with a sizable multi-craft landing pad for frequent coming and going. Open spaces adapt to more relaxed yachting trends, and the lower volume also allows for quicker builds, and of course lower GT means lower build costs and running costs as well, yet it brings all of the grand sweeping glamour and presence of much more voluminous yachts. Yachts like this at the Monaco Show drove many exciting conversations last year, and we look forward to the next stages of this evolution.
