🎉 Thank you for 50 years of dedication, Bonnie! 🎉 After 50 years of extraordinary service, longtime team member Bonnie Pierce has retired. Her story - "At the age of 18, shortly after graduating in 1974, I walked through the barrack doors of Keesler Credit Union, located on Keesler Air Force Base. I was hired and began my career as a teller on August 19 for the new Larcher Branch. At that time, teller transactions were few, mostly deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and money orders, because a “Checking Account” was unheard of. Everything was handwritten for manual processing, and we had only a weekly printed “Green Bar Journal” to verify an account's available balance. I remained part of the accounting team for 42 years. Throughout my career, I worked as a Teller, Vault Teller, Member Service Rep, and Accounting Specialist until I transferred in 2016 to join the Keesler Financial Group team as a Financial Coordinator. Fifty years have passed, and on Monday, August 19, 2024, I will turn in my badge and finally retire. Although I look forward to retirement, it will be bittersweet to think back on the fun times, the memories, and the great team I have worked with on this journey.
