The life of a BDM… Having been in the health club space for the last 25 years…that day to day grind operating clubs…my days today look very different. While I’m still in the fitness industry, with a mission to help change lives, it looks and sounds very different. Now, my days are spent reaching out to club owners and operators to better understand what they are seeing (trends) and what members are doing and looking for. We talk retention and GX yet many are ok just having an “ok” GX program knowing members are leaving month after month. Buying new squat racks and platforms may help acquire new members BUT retention involves so much more. It’s your team bought into GX? Do your members feel connected to our club and programs? Is there a GFM in place to champion the GX programs? In 2024 and beyond, how we view GX must change if a club is really focused on retaining members. 5moHey Khaled, good read. Question... from your perspective and from what you've been gathering, are studio managers and owners behind on what it takes to do a better job at retention?
