US Fashion Industry Association (USFIA)11th annual Benchmarking Study. CAFTA-DR sourcing is picking up. "This year, a new record 52% of respondents plan to expand apparel sourcing from members of the Dominican Republic-Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA DR), over the next two years, up from 40% in 2023. However, most US fashion companies consider expanding nearshoring from the Western Hemisphere as part of their overall sourcing diversification strategy. For example, nearly all companies that plan to increase sourcing from CAFTA-DR over the next two years also plan to increase sourcing from Asia."
