I love footage taken in space. At times, it appears so unreal that many of us are left questioning if it's the product of computer graphics or genuine reality. In today's age, it's easy to find ourselves being misled by AI-generated images, and now, videos too have joined the mix. Our collective perception of reality is being tested more than ever before. But in today's video, the footage is all very real. UP Aerospace, in collaboration with NASA, launched the SL-10 mission on November 6th, 2015, where they mounted GoPro cameras on a rocket to capture its ascent and multi-stage separation in the upper atmosphere. The rocket took off from Spaceport America, soared to an altitude of 75 miles, and the cameras successfully recorded the first multi-stage separation from space, offering a unique visual documentation of the event. The team used GoPro HERO 4 cameras to film the rocket reaching Mach speeds, and later shared this high-definition footage with the public. The video gained acclaim for its exceptional clarity and provided an unprecedented view of the rocket separation dynamics and the conditions of spaceflight. The SL-10 mission showcased UP Aerospace's capabilities in space missions and significantly enhanced public engagement with space exploration. The GoPro footage gave audiences around the world a rare and spectacular glimpse of orbital space, captivating viewers with its stunning visuals. Starts at 7:30pm Title for talk “Space Junk Farming” Abstract: A behind the scenes insight into Space Situational Awareness (SSA). What is it? Why bother? What are the benefits? Located in Emerald Victoria just 15km from Mount Burnett is the Australian node for the global ASTRIA network of SSA telescopes. This unassuming observatory provides data used by commercial and government agencies for the hazard prediction and risk management of orbital space traffic both manned and unmanned.

#Physics & #Science - International Day of Human Space Flight: I was an amateur astronomer in my teens, when I built my own telescope since I couldn't afford a commercial one, and scoured every physics and astronomy book in the school library. I had a fascination for the skies since my childhood, and that yearning never stopped. And so, every April 12, we commemorate the International Day of Human Space Flight, when cosmonaut Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin on board the Vostok 1, said "Поехали!" ("off we go!") and took to the heavens on April 12, 1961. That mission led to a series of humans attempting to reach the heavens and more, and the rest they say, is history. Many of us are now texting too much on our smartphones. Take some time to look up to the heavens and stars. :) PS - Eventually, I took a different science route, to #biochemistry, and #computerscience instead. Still, I love astronomy and also #aviation.

Excited to share my latest project using Three.js! 🌌 I have successfully created a dynamic 3D model of our solar system(𝐃𝐞𝐯_𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦), complete with orbiting planets and realistic lighting effects. This project demonstrates the power of Three.js in visualizing complex astronomical data and brings an immersive, interactive experience to exploring space.
