In every corner of the world, families gather, sharing stories and hopes for the year to come. It's a testament to the enduring power of connection and heritage. 🌏✨ But it's not just about looking back. It's a time to set ambitious goals, to dream big. Because if there's one thing this celebration teaches us, it's the power of renewal and fresh starts. For professionals everywhere, it's a poignant reminder: adapt, innovate, but stay true to your roots. The balance between tradition and innovation is where true magic happens. As we step into this new lunar cycle, let's ask ourselves: How can we bring this spirit of renewal into our work? How can we make the next year not just prosperous, but meaningful? Let's make it a year where we don't just chase success, but create value that echoes through our communities. Where we don't just achieve our goals, but uplift others along the way 🎉 让我们共同祈愿,新的一年里; 年年有余, 年年高升

Embracing New Traditions for a Positive Start 🐲 On this auspicious day of Chor 1, the first day of the lunar calendar month, let's welcome positive changes and embrace new traditions that uplift our spirits. Recently, a dear friend introduced us to a simple method of preparing Luo Han Guo by soaking it in hot water instead of boiling. This innovative approach not only retains the fruit's goodness but also simplifies the process. What's truly remarkable about this method is its efficiency and the spirit of openness and learning it embodies. It reminds us to embrace new ideas and techniques, even in familiar practices, fostering growth and innovation. As we embark on this new lunar month, let's carry this mindset of positivity and openness forward. May each day be filled with opportunities for learning, growth, and abundance. 🍂 Here's to a promising start and the joy of discovery! 🍂 #Chor1 #LunarNewYear #NewBeginnings #PositiveChanges #Traditions #Innovation #Openness #Learning #GrowthMindset #PositiveThinking #Abundance #Joy #GoodStart #Positivity #EmbraceChange #Friendship #CulturalTraditions #Community #Gratitude #Optimism #LinkedInReflections #LifeLessons #PersonalGrowth #PositiveEnergy #Inspiration #CelebrateTradition #NewYearNewStart #HealthAndWellness #MindfulLiving #CulturalHeritage

January 1st has come and gone, but for a whole area of the globe and a fifth of the human population, the New Year is just now upon us. Lunar New Year, celebrated on the second new moon after winter solstice, falls on February 10th this year. It’s a secular holiday that welcomes in the new and leaves behind the old. If you’ve ever had the privilege of spending Lunar New Year in a culturally Chinese neighborhood, you’ve seen parades of dragons with many feet and the brilliantly colored flower displays. But there’s a more thoughtful and serious side to this holiday as well. There’s also a huge emphasis on the idea of prosperity. Some of the rituals that Chinese people practice around this topic include: Cleaning and tidying the house and making it more beautiful with decorations Sitting down for a meal with family that features lucky foods like dumplings and fish Wearing red As a recruiter for 15+ years, I’ve worked with people from all different cultures and regions of the globe, and I always look forward to learning more about different cultures. If you’re not culturally Chinese or from another culture that celebrates Lunar New Year, I’m not necessarily suggesting a wholehearted plunge into cultural appropriation. But perhaps there’s something you can do to celebrate the concept of Lunar New Year at your work in your own particular way.

Give me 1 hour once—you'll get back 1 hour a day for the rest of your life. Keynote Speaker; Executive Coach; Author
🌕✨Happy Lunar New Year, clutter warriors! 🌙✨ Welcome to the Year of the Dragon—and another chance to review any New Year's resolutions and give them a mindful polish. 🎋💫 Take a moment to reflect on what your intentions for this year were back in January. How are you doing so far? What's working, what needs adjustment, and what deserves a graceful and speedy farewell? 🌟🔄 You can use the day to reboot your efforts AND you can also take some time to get clear on whether you’re merely “interested” in making some changes in 2024 or actually committed to making these changes. There’s no need for any negative judgment either way—let’s just not waste time dabbling at something that you’re not really committed to doing. You’ll just end up feeling like crap and still not get the thing done or put into place, right? So whether it's organizing your spaces, decluttering your mind, or conquering new challenges, remember: small intentional steps lead to significant transformations … when they are taken consistently. 🚀🌈 🌕💡 Share your reflections and responses in the comments as your first step toward a more organized and intentional new New Year! 🤝💖 #LunarNewYearReflections #OrganizeWithAndrew #YearOfTheDragon #MindfulIntentions

From my ACE! Nancy Luong Lunar New Year is on Feb 10th and is the Year of the Dragon, more specifically, Wood Dragon. In many Asian cultures, the Dragon holds a significant place as an auspicious and extraordinary creature, unparalleled in talent and excellence. It symbolizes power, nobility, honor, luck, and success. 2024 is forecasted to bring about opportunities, changes, and challenges. If you're seeking a shift in your current lives, this year might offer a favorable chance. 🐲 Lunar New Year is one of the most important celebrations of the year among East and Southeast Asian cultures, including Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean communities, among others. Tied to the lunar calendar, the holiday began as a time for feasting and to honor household and heavenly deities, as well as ancestors. Each culture celebrates the Lunar New Year differently with various foods and traditions that symbolize prosperity, abundance and togetherness. In preparation for the Lunar New Year, houses are thoroughly cleaned to rid them of inauspicious spirits, which might have collected during the old year. Cleaning is also meant to open space for good will and good luck. 🧧

#Journeyahead #Enbracetheflow Life's essence lies in its flow, much like a river. Aimless yet purposeful, it carves its path through landscapes, never stagnant. Remember, when life becomes a pond, it stagnates and stinks. Embrace the flow, for therein lies growth and vitality. Just like a river, let life meander, and watch it shape your journey. This Lunar New Year, I promise to embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth. May this year be filled with new beginnings, opportunities, and endless possibilities. Here's to embracing the flow and stepping into the unknown with courage and determination.

Vietnam is one of the few markets in the world uses both solar calendar (based on Earth’s rotation around the sun in a year) and lunar calendar (based on the moon’s phases), so we celebrate two occasions of new year every year. But we don’t just celebrate lunar calendar only for the chance to have two celebrations, most Vietnamese business owners and leaders still use lunar calendar as an inseparable measure of timing. While we ingtegrate deeper with international markets and businesses, and solar calendar is used in our daily work and activities, important matters such as inaugurations, signing contracts, joining dates, and discussion openings etc are still being timed in alignment with lunar calendar. Having another new year occasion gives us another chance to encounter and re-enforce the spirit of renewal. More than ever, we are very much ready to kick-start the year of the Dragon “Giáp Thìn” with our clients, partners, and colleagues! Fun guess: Can you spot at least 3 dragons in this photo? :)

🎊 Happy Lunar New Year 2024! 🎊 As the vibrant colors of lanterns light up the streets and the rhythmic beat of drums fills the air, we welcome the Year of the Dragon with joy, hope, and renewed energy. 🐉✨ 🌙 Embracing Traditions, Creating Futures 🌙 The Lunar New Year is more than just a date on the calendar; it’s a tapestry woven with threads of ancient customs and modern aspirations. As we gather with family, friends, and colleagues, let us reflect on the significance of this auspicious occasion: Reunion: Across continents and time zones, families reunite to share laughter, stories, and sumptuous feasts. The warmth of kinship transcends borders, reminding us that no distance is too great when love binds us together. Renewal: The dragon, a symbol of strength and transformation, heralds a season of renewal. Let us shed old habits, embrace fresh perspectives, and ignite the fires of creativity. May this year be a canvas for bold ideas and daring dreams. Prosperity: Red envelopes exchange hands, carrying not just monetary gifts but also blessings for prosperity. As professionals, we too seek growth—for our businesses, careers, and communities. Let’s collaborate, innovate, and create pathways to success. Gratitude: Amidst the hustle, let’s pause to express gratitude. To our mentors who shaped us, our colleagues who stood by us, and our clients who entrusted us. Each connection is a stepping stone toward a brighter future. Unity: Just as lanterns illuminate the night, let our actions illuminate unity. In a world that sometimes feels fragmented, let kindness, empathy, and understanding be our guiding stars.
