🏆 Celebrating Our Biggest Win at Inventron 2K23! 🏆 Hey everyone! 👋 I'm absolutely thrilled to share one of the most significant moments in my tech journey so far. I had the incredible opportunity to participate in Inventron 2K23, a 36-hour national hackathon organized by MLRIT CIE It was a whirlwind experience – diving into my second year of studies and just beginning to explore full-stack web development. Alongside my teammate, Akhil Kongonda. we embarked on a journey to create something impactful. Our project? A real-time ambulance location tracking and sharing application. Through countless hours of hard work, determination, and teamwork, crafted a prototype . Undeterred by the highs and lows, we persevered through the challenges, pushing ourselves to the limit and beyond. And you know what? All that effort paid off – because we clinched the first prize! Winning at Inventron 2K23 wasn't just about the trophy or the recognition. It was about the journey – the moments of inspiration, and the camaraderie forged in the fires of innovation. This experience left a lasting impact on me, solidifying my belief in the power of perseverance, collaboration, and the boundless potential of technology to create positive change. Last Saturday, I had the privilege of building TapandSee at a Hackathon with my teammates Nayel FERAI, Hassan Farooq, and Grégoire Guillot. TapandSee is an application designed to assist visually impaired individuals in navigating physical environments more easily. Leveraging GPT-4's vision capabilities combined with a web-app tech stack, we developed a working demo in just a few hours! How it works: 1. Users capture a picture of their environment. 2. The image, along with a prompt, is processed by GPT-4. 3. A checkpoint is selected for the user. 4. Navigation directions are provided out loud using text-to-speech (TTS), guiding the user to the specified checkpoint. Our approach takes into account the unique needs of visually impaired users, offering instructions that go beyond visual cues. For instance, TapandSee might direct a user to a handrail when climbing stairs. Check out the demo attached below! On 29th August 2024, I went to attend my first 24 hour hackathon, TechNova hosted by GITAM Aero Astro Club with 5 of my friends. Here's a summary of my experience and key learnings: - 1) Clarity of idea: Having a clear idea is more important than just coding unnecessarily/aimlessly. First, try to thoroughly understand what the problem statement is trying to convey, and try to think of a solution. 2) Importance of Teamwork: Communication is key. Having effective communication with your team mates is important. Clearly conveying the ideas ensures smooth collaboration. 3) Role of Team Lead: A good team lead makes the whole challenge enjoyable. What I felt was that, the team leads usually start to succumb to all the stress of working on an idea in under 24 hours. Our team lead, was indeed amazing. He provided us with clear instructions, and was able to manage the stress professionally. 4) Value of Experiencing: The learning experience matters more than winning. Although our team didn't win, we were able to understand how a hackathon works. We were able to observe how our seniors approached the problem statement and developed their strategies. A big thank you to my friends, Samruddhi Kadre, Potlakayala Nischal, Mayukh Sarkar, Harsha Vardhan, Snehal Andavarapu who asked me to be a part of this team. It was truly an unreal experience.

🎊 Delighted to share that I recently participated in a Hackathon: VHACK hosted by Volvocars🎊. Our Team opening presentation slide said: "Hackathon is a chance to Think Big and create something Amazing - Drew Houston". As per above saying, would like to share that it was actually an incredible experience where I collaborated with the talented team to tackle the problem statement given to us and successfully derived towards the amazing solution. It was the 2 day coding event followed by the presentation on the final day (3rd day) of the hackathon. There were 6 teams in total and 3 challenging problem statement. Together, all the teams brainstormed, coded and presented innovative solutions to the problem statement in front of the Jury. There were certain pre-defined parameters on which the team had to give the presentations on. It was 2 days thrilling experience with non-stop coding. I'm excited to share about my new achievement at lablab.ai where I participated in an another international hackathon. I have received a certificate for participation and successful completion of our project in LabLab Next Hackathon. I want to thank all my team members Robin T. , Ichwan Haryo Sembodo , Afsheen Ghuman , Rijad Maglic and Fathima Yasmin Haris who have participated with me in this Hack. Unfortunately we didn't win this hack and it's great to receive an award or appreciation after putting so much efforts but in my opinion the thing which should matters the most , how much efforts you have put and what skills and drawbacks you have learnt during that period of Hackathon. It was a great time which all the teammates had , there were many things which we learnt from each other. These type of events help to people collaborate internationally and help to learn skills from people all the world to know what is going on in the tech all over the world . And the last thing which I want to mention is that hackathon is not always about only writing the code. It's majorly comprises of the soft skills like collaboration , teamwork , time management and storytelling.
