We are thrilled to announce that our company has officially endorsed one of the most ambitious international agreements aimed at accelerating the development of zero-emission trucks and buses. This week, during the New Mobility Congress in Łódź, we announced our participation in the MOU. We would like to extend our thanks to CALSTART and the Polish Association of New Mobility (PSNM – We drive new mobility!), along with their representatives: Sita Holtslag, Aleksander Rajch, and Piotr Ziółkowski, for the opportunity to take part in this inspiring event. 🌍✨ For the third consecutive year, PwC have ranked Skretting Norway as a climate winner! To be ranked, climate winners must meet the Paris Agreement's minimum requirements for emission cuts and demonstrate transparent, clear, and consistent climate reporting over the past three years. Skretting Norway achieved a 48% reduction from the base year 2018, most of which is related to raw material production. "For a number of years, Skretting has worked purposefully together with raw material suppliers and producers. This is work that we continue unabated. We are now entering into new and long-term partnership agreements that will equip us to reduce our footprint even further," says Leif Kjetil Skjæveland, Head of Sustainability at Skretting Norway. Even though this day gives us many reasons to smile as it is Friday and possibly even spring is finally upon us, unfortunately, this day also marks Finland’s Overshoot Day in 2024.  It's the day of the year when Finland’s ecological footprint exceeds the Earth's annual capacity to produce natural resources and manage greenhouse gas emissions caused by using fossil fuels. This isn't a problem that can be solved overnight, but the solution is surprisingly straightforward: we need to create and foster renewable resources and circulate what we already have. Relying on fossil energy sources is no longer an option.  As a country, being one of the highest consumers of natural resources is not a headline to be proud of.  However, Finland also holds immense potential to lead the way to a global green transition, pioneering ways to shift away from fossil fuels. And that’s a path we’re proud to be a part of – harnessing science to replace fossils for good. Let’s make sure next year marks as a sign of a change for the better. Have a good weekend folks!
