Non-negotiables. I am a big fan of The Bear. In season 3 episode 1, Carmy decides to set some standards for the restaurant. He creates a list of non-negotiables: the things that the restaurant must do on a consistent basis to achieve greatness. Needless to say, the list is long and is not well received by his staff. While I have no illusions of greatness, there are some non-negotiables I'd like to incorporate into my life going forward so I can live a better and more fulfilling existence. Feel free to add yours into the comments below. 1️⃣ I will not multitask. Instead I will give my focus to one single task. I will complete it and will not move until I am ready to do so. If someone interrupts me, I will politely ask them to wait until I have finished. 2️⃣ Let go.
