Sign us up for the Ally Pally... Well not quite, but it was great to be a winner alongside Richard Stoddart at the Manchester darts championship. Of course I'm exaggerating. It was a healthy competition between friends and colleagues at the very new Black Cat Club (highly recommend) after a long day our Redmoor Health exec team had together in the city. I've known and worked with Richard for yonks and of course we made a great team 😁 We also play golf together, joined by Marc Schmid. In my case I use the term 'play golf' very loosely 😂 But why is it important to socialise with colleagues? 😊 enhances teamwork, if we feel connected to our colleagues we're more cooperative and collaborative which can lead to us being more effective and efficient 😎 it breaks down formal barriers and gives us a more relaxed environment to communicate more openly. 😊 it helps to build a network of supportive colleagues 🤔 it's an opportunity to share ideas and thoughts that might not be discussed in formal meetings or a business environment, helping us all to be more innovative 😊 it can make the workplace more enjoyable, meaning we're more likely to feel engaged and positive about our role 😊 you can make new friends for life - plenty of my ex-colleagues are full-time friends A positive culture at an organisation is crucial. Many people spend more time with colleagues than anyone else, often under pressure and in stressful situations. We work hard at Redmoor for colleagues to feel included, supported and valued by each other and that's a key part of our recruitment too, choosing people that fit with our values and ethos, that want to be part of our journey. I don't think we'll be getting a call to join the world darts champion but a win's a win and we have the evidence, so me and Richard are taking it 🎉 #teamwork #darts #manchester #primarycare Matt Murphy Dan Hodges Kieran Waterston Helen Holmes-Fogg Lisa Drake Lisa Williamson Matt Sweeney

We're excited to announce that Martin Haley, a valued collaborator, will be joining Alastair Mitchell-Baker, Director at Tricordant, for our upcoming FREE webinar on Strategy in Complex Systems. ABOUT MARTIN… Martin's professional journey spans significant roles including heading Strategy and Corporate Development for BMW’s financial services businesses across the UK, and serving as CEO and co-founder of Red Whale, the UK’s leading provider of primary care medical education, which was acquired by the Medical Defence Union late last year. He defines strategy as ‘how to get to where you want to get to’ and backs the research evidence that the vast majority of strategies fail because of poor implementation and not because the strategic direction itself is flawed. He now works with organisations to develop strategies, whilst helping them avoid the pitfalls of poor implementation. „Life on Earth“ was the first book I asked for as a child, and it had a profound impact on how I see the world. David Attenborough’s work introduced me to the breathtaking biodiversity of our planet, from the arid deserts to lush jungles, from the deep seas to the icy poles. He showed how each life on this planet is interconnected and finely tuned together. I remember vividly reading about the Albatross, with its impressive wingspan, in his book "The Living Planet"; the mesmerizing dance of the bird of paradise, and the gigantic Goliath beetle as big as my palm in "Life on Earth." Each story deepened my awe for the natural world. Einstein once remarked, "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle" (attributed to him though not definitively proven). David Attenborough embodies this philosophy, revealing to us the miracles all around. Today, his message is more urgent than ever as we face the sixth mass extinction. Unlike previous events caused by natural phenomena, this extinction is driven by human activity, including habitat destruction, climate change, and pollution. Researchers indicate we are currently witnessing species going extinct at rates much higher than the natural background rates, highlighting the critical need for urgent action to prevent future loss. As a conscious species, it is our duty to protect the miracle of life on this blue planet. We are not the end result of evolution but a part of it. Our future depends on the conscious decisions we make today. Humanity cannot thrive without respecting and protecting all living beings on our planet, our home. Thank you, David Attenborough, for inspiring us to see and safeguard the wonders of our world. 🌿 #Biodiversity #Conservation #DavidAttenborough #LifeOnEarth #ProtectOurPlanet
