Recruiter - 'What sort of company are you looking for next?' Candidate - 'I’m pretty open, any Tech company really...' While this approach isn’t necessarily bad, I would encourage candidates to have more of a think before going for the scatter-gun approach. One thing I think gets overlooked often is the type of tech you will be selling & who the buyers will be? The reason I’ve stayed in Tech Sales recruitment for 7+ years is because: - I resonate with the candidates and have a similar mindset🧑🤝🧑 - I understand the direct impact for customers and challenges they face 📊 - And I actually enjoy speaking with Commercial Leaders ✅ Candidates, I encourage you to do the same. It’s all well and good wanting to work in cyber security as it’s high paid and growing market HOWEVER... If you're not technically minded & don’t have any interest, you may struggle ❌ Not expecting everyone to love their job but Sales is hard enough as it is! So if you can enjoy the sector and resonate with your buyers, you'll have a higher chance of success📈 Anyone had experience of moving sectors because of this...?
