I am a huge proponent of product ease of use. In a burgeoning space like Crypto & Web3, the ability to attract and retain new users to a platform, product or the space in general is crucial to sustainability. But our continued reliance on our smart phones to hold (and protect) everything of importance in our lives is misdirected. So how!? How do we change the perception that increased security is an impediment to user experience and ease of use? Arculus has your answer. https://lnkd.in/eJmqHiWy

Last night, a friend told me a story about a commercial building he's doing some work at. The mailbox was stolen. Not just the amazon packages and other deliveries (those we're stolen previously) but the PHYSICAL mail box; the big metal box thing with a hundred individual slots that serve a hundred individual offices. Besides being a remarkable feat, I couldn't help but to think about parallels to the early internet. In part, the mailbox was stolen because it was never designed to be secure against that particular threat. Back at the trusty mailbox design company, sometime in the early 70s you'd imagine, they thought to lock the individual containers but not to invest too too much in physical security of the overall receptacle. Sometimes it's hard to future-proof I guess. I also couldn't help but chuckle at the imaginary queue of advanced generative+#ai/ML/blockchain vendors the building will be hearing from to secure against these risks going forward. Call it a new minimally viable use case 🤣

A worth-reading peace by Cyber.Fund team on Account Abstraction for those who are interested in crypto. https://lnkd.in/dwxVbWAR Problem: currently, most users access their accounts on Ethereum by their private key. This requires sophisticated key management and paying gas fees, which prevents consumer adoption. Solution: account abstraction, aka decoupling user’s address and user’s private key. This is achieved by making smart contract wallets default accounts for Ethereum users. Such wallets enable arbitrary transaction verification and gas fee sponsorship, leading to superior UX.

Co-Founder at Zealynx Security | Web3 Security Researcher | Blockchain Developer || Formal Verification | Fuzz | Rust |
I'd like to share a reflection we've had in our recent work: === We had to conduct a testing campaign for contracts that have influences from on-chain contracts The fuzzing part is quite advanced, using both Foundry and Echidna. The dilemma arose when we started doing FV ➡️ We noticed that current tools lack specific support for these cases, so we quickly began searching for solutions 🤔 In the end, we managed to provide a specific solution by mocking each contract inherited by the contract itself to simulate conditions similar to real ones ➡️ I think it's really important to be able to offer Formal Verification to all kinds of contracts because of its significance in security today 🤖 At Zealynx Security , we're committed to trying to provide a solution so that anyone who needs to apply it can do so seamlessly. ➡️ The possible solutions today are: 🎯 - Using the "etch" cheat code to obtain the bytecode of each contract - Mocking the contracts you need - Manually compiling each onchain contract (the most laborious option) ➡️ I would like to thank Palina Tolmach, @0xkarmacoma, and @neumoXX for their help in researching these topics The open-source tools available for Formal Verification nowadays are truly incredible, representing amazing work a16z crypto Runtime Verification Inc

PQ3 is the first large scale cryptographic messaging protocol to introduce the novel post-quantum rekeying property. a periodic post-quantum rekeying mechanism that has the ability to self-heal from key compromise and protect future messages. In PQ3, the new keys sent along with the conversation are used to create fresh message encryption keys that can’t be computed from past ones, thereby bringing the conversation back to a secure state even if previous keys were extracted or compromised by an adversary. #PQ3 #imessage #Crypto #Apple

Did you know? Turnkey has close to 100+ years of combined security/crypto experience with a <20 person engineering team. That’s why we’re launching Quorum, our brand new engineering blog: quorum.tkhq.xyz To kick things off, Founding Engineer Arnaud Brousseau wrote his first post on TEEs, and how we built OAuth utilizing secure enclaves. You can read about that here, or subscribe in the footer for all future posts: https://lnkd.in/eqene2Qk P.S. We also have an invite-only Telegram chat for technical folks interested in discussing TEEs, cryptography, or security! DM us or comment for an invite.
