Invisible. Stateless. IMAGINE you had no passport. IMAGINE you took the courage to escape repression, conflict, poverty. IMAGINE you abandoned everything to give your children hope for a better life, safety, simply to live. IMAGINE you arrive where you hope to be safe but you become unregistered, stateless. IMAGINE you now cannot access healthcare or only at an exorbitant cost. IMAGINE you cannot move freely because you have no paper to identify. IMAGINE you cannot send your children to school. IMAGINE those you turn to use your statelessness against you and it leads to labor or sexual exploitation or human trafficking. Where is the HOPE? There are people and places that give HOPE again. There are people and places that provide the safety net needed so children can thrive and believe in the good. 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄? An NGO is more than just a group helping people; it's a powerful way to make a difference in the world! NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) are registered under a special category called 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲. This is the same category used for associations, clubs, and even worship centers like churches and mosques. So, what makes an NGO special? NGOs are 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. Their main goal is to tackle important issues, like helping the less fortunate, protecting the environment, or promoting education. Unlike regular companies, NGOs don’t exist to make money for owners or shareholders. Instead, all the money they get (such as donations) goes directly to supporting their projects. Here’s something many people don’t know: there’s another category called 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲, which is similar but different from an NGO. While both are non-profit, a Company Limited by Guarantee can run a business, but still cannot share profits among members. NGOs, on the other hand, focus solely on their charitable missions without the business aspect. Remember, NGOs are 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 of government control, and many are powered by volunteers who give their time to support causes they believe in. With the right support, Hope Ambassadors can reach more communities and villages that are in desperate need of #CleanWater and good #Sanitation. Our #Water_For_Life_Project is principally focused on promoting greater access to clean drinking water in consonant with #Sdg6CleanWaterandSanitation2030 Most of our previous beneficiary communities are completely outside the radar of government for long without little or no hope until we intervened. Evidently, a larger proportion of African population resides in the rural areas where infrastructure for good water supply are practically non-existent.
