I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I have received from Intoxalock. My experience thus far has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I recently arranged for an Intoxalock ignition interlock device (IID) to be installed in [Vehicle Owner's Name]'s vehicle. Despite being told it would take 1-3 hours to install, it has now been four days since my appointment was scheduled, and the device still has not been installed due to a defective product sent by Intoxalock. Furthermore, I am extremely displeased with the payment terms imposed by Intoxalock. I was informed that automatic payments are mandatory and was asked to pay a deposit of $109.00 upfront, which was never disclosed i TODAYView Davendra’s profile 7/24/24 today I got a lockout message with no explanation even though theres a camera. Davendra Singh 6:06 PM 👏 👍 😊Hello, I'm currently facing serious issues with Intoxalock. Despite my efforts to comply with their requirements, I'm at risk of being locked out of my vehicle. When I contacted customer service, they demanded a $75 fee, accusing me of missing a test. This accusation is unfounded since I seldom drive the vehicle, merely moving it around the block to prevent it from stalling. There's a camera installed in the car that can verify my activities within 24 hours, proving my innocence. Moreover, I neither drink alcohol nor use drugs. I feel unfairly targeted and suspect that Intoxalock profits from these $75 lockouts without offering clear explanations. The upcoming lockout in 4 days leaves me with no choice but to use the car again. This situation feels oppressive and reminiscent of mafia tactics.

If you are an attorney in the New Orleans area and you need CLE credit, consider registering for the upcoming Third Annual State Court Summary Judgment Practice CLE at noon on September 24 at the New Orleans Bar Association's office. I know what you're thinking: how can a CLE topic be any more riveting, right? Well, if the topic isn't enticing enough to get you there, perhaps my presence on the panel is. But, if I am actually the reason why you DON'T want to register for this CLE (which I can understand), then at the very least, you should still stop by to get the latest insight on all-things-summary-judgment from the four brilliant lawyers sitting on this panel with me (who are much more likeable than me). Either way, you can register by following the link below. I hope to see you there! #CLE #LouisianaLaw #CivilProcedure #SummaryJudgment #NOBA #NewOrleansBarAssociation https://lnkd.in/gJaQPSri

Financial Services Attorney at Maslon LLP | Representing Commercial Creditors and Indenture Trustees in Bankruptcy, Reorganization, and Trust Proceedings
Many people are surprised when I tell them that a bankruptcy case brings together multiple types of law: contract, secured transactions, real estate, litigation, and, yes, even family law. What's more, the relative recency of the Bankruptcy Code's adoption (the Code we use today is less than 50 years old!) allows unexplored nuances to pop up every year. In my recent article for the Minnesota Bankruptcy Bulletin, I explain a recent case by the 8th Circuit BAP which dealt with an uncommon, but not implausible, situation: what happens when an individual files chapter 7, then gets divorced, then converts to chapter 13, and then converts back to chapter 7? What status does a child-support claim (usually given first priority) have if it is post-petition but pre-conversion? And can legislative history help us answer that question? Find out at the link below! Thanks to David M. Tanabe for the editing assistance and thanks to the Minnesota State Bar Association for this great publication!
