In-person visits to clients' places of business are a MUST in my line of work. Even with a rock-solid briefing process, you can only get so much information from a Zoom call. Countless times, visiting teams on-site has helped us uncover key challenges before they become a problem. Like when no one mentioned users would access the system on the road without internet access. Things could have been interesting without that key detail! An in-person visit gives deeper insight into your needs and reinforces why I love what I do. At its core, it always comes down to problem-solving and people! Amongst others, this year has seen me visiting: 📍Castle Donnington 📍Oswestry, and 📍Manchester. I wonder where I’ll get to next year… 🤔 (also any businesses local to Hastings - I’m here if you need me!)
