Kindred Group’s CEO, Nils Andén, is currently attending Almedalen Week, an annual political summit in Sweden. He participated in the panel by Svenska Spel titled ‘Transparency in the Gambling Industry – Who is the Money Coming From?’ alongside Anna Johnson, CEO at Svenska Spel and Daniela Johansson, Deputy CEO at Paf - Games Sport Casino. Together, they discussed the importance of disclosing revenue from harmful gambling and the need to increase transparency in the industry. According to Nils, “It’s great that more operators are now following Kindred’s example and disclosing this data, which will contribute to a discussion about safer gambling based on facts.” He added, “There is a lot of data held by operators, and this data is often shared with researchers and authorities to help provide more knowledge and know-how about high-risk gambling.” Nils encourages more operators to become more transparent and to follow the examples set by Kindred with Journey Towards Zero, launched in 2021, and also by Svenska Spel, which will start reporting their revenue from safe gambling starting in Q2. The panel fostered a good conversation and demonstrated that there is great alignment and common views within the industry in Sweden. #kindredgroup #safegambling #gamblingindustry
