Here is some insight for handling these conversations with care and respect: • Begin the conversation with being vulnerable with the people you love and show them how much you care. • Ask them if they can’t make decisions for themselves who they would want to speak for them. • Make sure to be specific and understand exactly what that family member desires. • Don’t let fear get in the way of the conversation.
