Eli Lewis began his career at UK King’s Daughters in the ED residency program, and became a nurse in the Emergency Department back in December. He had worked as a server during nursing school, which helped him to prepare for the flow and quick pace of the Emergency Department. “My favorite part is the adrenaline rush you get when trying to help people quickly,” Eli said. “I love the problem-solving aspect and figuring out what is wrong with the patient. If you like a challenge and like to think critically, you should definitely give the ED a shot.” Our Emergency Department is growing, with our new building expected to open in 2025.
