Kenya’s founders got it right when they wrote in the Declaration of Independence that our rights come from nature and nature’s God, not from government. #HappyMadarakaDay

On this Democracy Day, let us renew our commitment to the hard-won rights and freedoms that define our nation. Though challenges remain, the progress we’ve made inspires us to keep strengthening Nigeria’s democratic foundations - through civic engagement, accountable governance, and a resolute defense of justice and equality for all. Today, we celebrate how far we’ve come, while recommitting ourselves to the unfinished work ahead. #democracyday #june12 #democracy2024 #happydemocracydaynigeria

Kenyans must remain alert to political distractions. As sovereigns, safeguarding Kenyan interests is a responsibility we cannot run away from. Do not sleep on your power under Article 1(1) of the Constitution and your job under Article 3(1) of the Constitution. Before considering whether a representative's woes is a Kenyan issue, consider whether they have used their position to further the interests of Kenya and Kenyans. If they have not advanced the interest of the people but their own interests, leave them alone and focus on Kenya and Kenyans.

Urgent Call to Action: Justice for Heaven 🚨 Dear human right defenders and international community A horrific tragedy has occurred in Ethiopia. A 7 year old young girl named Heaven was brutally raped and murdered. Despite the severity of this crime, the perpetrator has been sentenced to just 25 years in prison and is now appealing this inadequate sentence - a move currently entertained by Ethiooian authorities. This case exposes severe failings in the Ethiopian justice system and demands urgent global action. I urge the international community to: 1. Demand Justice: Advocate for a thorough review of Heaven’s case to ensure the perpetrator receives a just sentence that reflects the brutality of his crime. Oppose the appeal and ensure that justice is served. 2. Support Heaven’s Family: Provide necessary support and advocacy to Heaven’s family during this incredibly difficult time. 3. Engage with Ethiopian Authorities: Press Ethiopian officials to address the flaws in their legal system and implement reforms to protect children and ensure justice. 4. Raise Global Awareness: Use your platforms to highlight this case and mobilize international support and pressure on Ethiopian authorities. Our children’s safety and justice are at stake. Immediate action is needed to ensure Heaven’s death leads to meaningful change in my country. #UNICEF #UNWomen #UNHumanRights #AmnestyInternational #JusticeForHeaven #ProtectChildren #GlobalJustice

As Zimbabwe celebrates 44 years of independence tomorrow, we reflect on the journey of our nation. Section 67 Political Rights(3)(a) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe guarantees the *right to vote*, a pillar of our sovereignty. Yet, recent events like the CCC recalls remind us that the struggle for true independence continues. These actions undermine the political rights enshrined in our constitution and highlight the ongoing challenges in our democratic processes. This Independence Day, let's renew our commitment to the ideals of freedom and democracy for all Zimbabweans. #RightsWednesday #ZimIndependence44

I always thought life dealt me lemons🍋 Then I realised, I was picking them from the trees🍋 Welcome to my lemonade stand🍋
It is time for us to back off. We transitioned from apartheid into democracy under a GNU, And we will hopefully transition from poverty into prosperity under a GNU. The ANC’s so-called sellout cannot be worse than their f💥ckup of the last thirty years, And the DA as part of the GNU cannot be worse than their constant wining from the opposition seats. This is democracy at work. We are at this crossroad because the people spoke, And we should be grateful that we did not follow in the footsteps of other African nations, Who had to bring an end to one party rule through a coup, years of civil war or the assassination of the president. The current coalition has the support of more than two thirds of the population. What better way to test them on their campaign promises, Than to allow them to govern us for the next five years. This is certain, In five years, more than one party will have to account for what has not been delivered, And we WILL be electing a new president. Now then, Let's give them space to administer while we start sweeping on our side of the fence. #mzansi #newbeginnings #thetruetest

CEO of Coalition of National Communication Bureau-CNCB Volta Regional Chairman of Ghana First Coalition- GFC, Former Deputy National Communication Officer at All People's Congress (APC) Ghana
Democracy is originally Independent/Nonpartisan that's the fact and truth. Multiparty Democracy is a scam and a counterfeit tool to divide and conquer/rule the majority of citizens for few political elites in nations. The use of the word Independent does not connote to a single person, or when someone is embittered with his political, then he becomes independent. The word "independent" is used intrinsically to mean the Independent of a single political ideology. That's why a coalition of many political parties and political entities (amalgamation of political ideologies) is situated as prosecuting Independent/Nonpartisan by Ghana First Coalition-GFC The political system needs to be fixed to get the nation working. The WORKING GHANA AGENDA vision in 2011, which was cloned by NDC as "working for you" in 2012 and by NPP as "Ghana will work again" in 2017 to date are far cry of twin incompetence. We need to prosecute genuine Democracy to bring the liberty we need.
