One of these visions includes Group Violence Intervention (GVI), an impactful strategy to reimagine public safety. So what does GVI look like? Read our new post — and attend our open meeting on Aug. 22 — to learn more. https://bit.ly/3Aq3I0I

🧡 Our award-winning ‘MyEnds’ programme brings local people and community groups together to deliver meaningful change where they live and work. 💡With £14.5m investment from Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, we're expanding our hyper-local, neighbourhood-focused approach, right across London. That means 11 areas affected by high levels of violence will have community-led networks that will deliver prevention and diversionary work. It will support communities with the tools and resources needed to prevent violence before it occurs. 🙌 For the first time, we'll also be taking this hyper-local approach to all areas of the capital. Our funding will support 21 local authorities to take the principles of MyEnds, and work with community and grassroots organisations on a neighbourhood-focused approach to tackling violence. 📈 Evidence shows that a community-led approach, by those who know their area and its challenges best, is the most effective way to prevent violence. 🤝 When we work together, we can prevent and reduce violence. ➡️ Find out more: https://bit.ly/4by4RR4

📣 In line with our Community Engagement Strategy and the Local Government Act 1993, we are engaging with our community to seek feedback to inform the development of our Draft Delivery Program / Operational Plan and Budget 2024-2025. ✍️ Our combined Delivery Program and Annual Operational Plan is an important document that sets out Council’s action plan for achieving the community priorities outlined in the Community Strategic Plan (CSP). It identifies the projects, programs and activities that council will conduct to achieve the commitments of the Delivery Program. This is supported by the Annual Budget which outlines how we will fund the delivery of services and projects to our community. It funds services like managing waste, maintaining our infrastructure, community facilities and parks, operating our libraries, events and services to people at all stages of life. This is ‘Future Federation 2024-2025’. The Future Federation 2024-2025 Draft Delivery Program / Operational Plan and Budget will be presented to Council for endorsement for public exhibition on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. 🤳Find out more about Future Federation 2024-2025 and our upcoming engagement sessions: https://ow.ly/hoVV50RgHJk #federationcouncil #celebratingcommunity #creatingopportunity
