AXIS Aviation is at MEBAA this week, discussing the latest trends in the Middle Eastern business aviation market with industry colleagues. Our latest EUROCONTROL European Aviation Trends Briefing looks ahead to the Paris 2024 Olympics & Paralympics – taking place from late July to early September – and shares how EUROCONTROL is working in close cooperation with @DSNA (the relevant French authority) on planning and coordinating air traffic ✈ around the Games. 🥇 Building on the lessons learned & valuable experience from London 2012, when extensive planning resulted in there being very little impact on the aviation network, our #TeamEUROCONTROL is working with multiple stakeholders to make sure that, once again, aviation flows smoothly. 📌 DSNA experts will be based in the EUROCONTROL #NMOC Network Manager Operations Centre in Brussels for the critical period, the nerve centre from which the EUROCONTROL #NM manages all network traffic 📌 We’re liaising closely with aircraft operators and airports, which are also planning ahead, for example by using larger aircraft to handle more passengers without adding flights 📌 We’re particularly focusing on the impact of the Opening Ceremony on 26 July, for which many Heads of State will travel to Paris, and during which the airspace over Paris will be closed.
