Teachers asked for it, we built it! Introducing our new standalone IDE, which provides teachers and students a sandbox environment to write and run code outside of Kira's courses. Now, teachers can use the standalone editor to demonstrate new concepts and create and share projects, bell ringers, and practice activities. I am exploring a story on whether children face undue pressure these days - in an age where competition is fierce and one starts coding at the age of five. Nothing wrong with coding, but are kids losing out the kaagaz ki kashti, baarish ka pani childhood I can still speak fondly about. One of the guiding questions for week three is “as a future teacher, why is coding important to the next generation of students?” With technology advancing more and more, the generation that students know will be way more comfortable learning what new tech there may be. Because of this, it is important for them to learn coding since it is an element of technology.
