Are you MAD?    After working with charities on their IT and telecoms for a number of years, Stuart noticed a repeat problem where there was insufficient affordable housing for their service users resulting in homelessness, living in shelters, sofa surfing etc.    Let's Make a Difference (MAD) was set up to build a different social housing model where businesses, individuals, and investors could all make a positive impact on their community for generations to come.     Creating a new way of approaching the problem MAD is putting processes and assets in place that will last for generations.    But, they need our support.     Come along to our next meeting to find out how we’re all chipping in to support Stuart 😊    #ReferralMarketing #HousingCrisis

I've shared in the transformation and healing that comprehensive support, like provided by DVCC, can foster. Latest YouGov Poll It's interesting to note that despite the increasing focus on mental health in mainstream discourse, the latest YouGov poll on the most popular charities and organisations at the end of 2023 shows that mental health organisations are not yet making it into the top ten list of public favourites. This suggests that there may still be a gap between the awareness and understanding of mental health issues and the level of public support for related charities and organisations. Raising more awareness and support for mental health causes could help bridge this gap and further prioritise mental health in the public eye. #chasingthestigma

**Riding with Purpose: Wonders & Worries and the MS 150 Journey** Recently, I had the privilege of cycling 150 miles with the Tacodeli team in the MS 150. The event, hosted by the National MS Society, is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is a serious illness, and Wonders & Worries' mission is to help kids who have a parent with a serious illness or injury. With the overlap between these two organizations, this ride held special significance. Every turn of the pedal reminded me of the resilience and strength of the families W&W serves. MS is a relentless illness, and so is the spirit of our children at Wonders & Worries. By participating in MS 150, I aimed to bridge the gap between the fight against MS and the support for children impacted by any serious illness. The funds and awareness raised through this event testify to what we can achieve together. I ride for hope. I ride for strength. I ride for the children of Wonders & Worries, who inspire us daily. Children within an adult abusive relationship will witness boundaries being very strict, controlled but also inconsistent, therefore they may need reassurance with what are healthy expectations for them to have of themselves. There may also be a fear of failure due to the emotional abuse witnessed and so emotional validation and support is sometimes needed, so that they know they may sometimes fail, get things wrong and not do everything perfectly all the time but it’s ok. Lighthouse delivers a number of courses for children and young people who have been affected by abusive relationships, this work is vital to ensure that they understand how it has affected them and that they can have healthy relationships with those around them.
