I believe digital twins will be integral to the #EnergyTransition in the coming years. Through a mix of IoT and AI for real-time monitoring and simulation creation, digital twins provide a “playground” where organizations can see an accurate model of their infrastructure and manipulate variables without risk of harming real assets. It also lets them run different parameters to see how the system reacts to different inputs. One of the most impactful effects of utilizing such a tool is the breakdown of data silos.
