I am really curious to see how the requirements to register as a broker/dealer impact these hedge funds. 1) Unlikely outside capital will be invested into Broker/Dealers 2) Only FINRA registered people can receive compensation from trading P&L. 3) All would be required to register with FINRA and the SEC 4) Not all major prime brokers clear for broker/dealers.
