We’ve got… the experience. Later this year, we will celebrate our 25th anniversary alongside two of the original staff members—Angela Paul and Colin Pascoe—who are still enthusiastically and expertly engaged in every aspect of our operations. Both of these industry icons have experience that predates the launch of Monitor New Zealand, with both working together within the Answer Scan business and boasting over 30 years involvement in the New Zealand monitoring industry. Over that time these two have seen a massive amount of change, but one thing has remained unchanged—consistent customer service is key. Monitor New Zealand is the responsive and diligent business you see today due to the collective experience and knowledge of these two people. As Albert Einstein said: “Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience, and you need experience to gain wisdom”.

As January bids adieu, I'm taking a moment to appreciate the whirlwind of experiences that made the first month of 2024 truly unforgettable! 🚀 UST's Triumphal Stand: Kicking off with a bang, I proudly represented UST at the Top Employer event in Singapore, clinching the overall ranking of being 2nd in APAC and 3rd in North America. It's not just an accolade; it's a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence. Its our ode to the art of being a Top Employer. 🎂 Global Birthday Blitz: Gratitude overflowed for the worldwide cascade of heartfelt birthday wishes that turned my celebration into an international fiesta. Your warmth propels my journey forward. 🌍 Cultural Odyssey: Strolled through the whispers of three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, each telling a unique story on the grand canvas of our world. 🍲 Culinary Revelations: Embarked on a gastronomic adventure, with the "snake fruit" stealing the limelight. Who knew taste buds could embark on such wild escapades? ⚔️ Adventurous Fiasco: On a lighter note, attempted to conquer a 17th-century temple in the rain, paying the price with a knee injury. Lesson learned: adventure is a daring companion! 📚 Continuous Learning: Achieved certification in the Motivators assessment framework, unlocking new dimensions of understanding. Knowledge is not just power; it's liberation. 🔥 31 Days of Action: From thrilling ventures to tackling challenges head-on, January was a month marked by continuous action and personal growth. Here's to a year filled with audacious dreams, relentless pursuits, and the unwavering courage to turn them into reality. #SomedayIsToday #experiencesignificance Pic Details : One of my favorite clicks this month - Sunrise at Borobudur Temples

Our Chairwoman, Leslie Cantu, has been a trailblazer in the Manufacturing Industry, always ready to venture into areas others might avoid. One such initiative is Second Chance hiring, which allows companies to tap into underutilized talent pools. Did you know about fidelity bonding? This service helps job applicants facing challenges in securing employment. The Texas Workforce Commission offers this free service to help companies feel secure when hiring individuals who might otherwise struggle to find work. Essentially an insurance policy, it protects companies against dishonest acts like theft. Key points about fidelity bonding: - Free for six months: After this period, companies can choose to continue at their own expense. - Coverage: Typically $5,000 with no deductible. - Quick and easy: No forms, no long wait times; coverage can start immediately. Eligibility: - Individuals involved with the justice system - Those with poor credit history - Dishonorably discharged veterans - Public assistance recipients - Individuals with a history of substance abuse - Disadvantaged youth with no work history - Those not approved for other bonding systems *Note: Self-employed individuals are not covered, and the bond does not cover poor work skills, injuries, or accidents. How to Request a Fidelity Bond: Visit any Workforce Solutions office. Either the job seeker or the employer can request bonding, and coverage can start immediately upon approval or on the first day of work. The bond is mailed to the employer and is valid for six months, with the option to extend. Let’s continue to embrace these innovative solutions and create more opportunities for those ready for a second chance!
Leslie Cantu, vice president of administration at Toyotetsu North America (Texas), believes that second chance hiring is 100% worth the effort. Discover how your organization to tap into this opportunity: https://bit.ly/3UdcarF

If you are living long enough in Vietnam to recognize many local offices and factories are remaining National Flag on every Monday morning. There is no regulation from the government, they do it so to cultivate the company’s culture as it brings lots of advantages for individuals and the companies. Back to school, the time every Monday morning, we students all gather in the school yard, reminiscing soldiers who saved the country. We all have common will, looking at the national flag and sing national anthem with pride. The concept is still keeping the same. Workers, staffs, managers, all gather in the company yard, sometimes in production floor, wherever but they can see the national flag and sing together. The progress takes ten to fifteen minutes. Imagine you stand right with your colleagues, one outfit, sing and give commitment for new week tasks, for the company, for yourself. How much passion, motivation will bring to you to start and strive the new week. The culture of saluting the flag creates a great motivation for employees to perform their professional work, improve responsibility, and hold commitment for themselves and the company’s activities. "𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀" A few years ago, I was invited to speak at an internal event where I shared insights with early-career professionals about the importance of building your internal and industry-wide network and brand. One moment that really stood out was a conversation around 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆. The room felt tense when discussing how what you do outside of work can affect your professional image. I saw their concern — 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗱. When it was my turn to speak, I decided to break the ice with an honest confession… 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀! Why? Because... ▪️ Being professional doesn’t mean you can’t have fun, whether you’re in the office or out with friends. ▪️ The teams I’ve enjoyed working with the most—where I felt the most open, honest, and productive—are the ones I had the most fun with. And many of those colleagues are still friends today. ▪️ 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀. And, of course, it’s a must for après-ski in Europe! ⛷️ Photo from Les Deux Alpes—because you can never have too much Lux-branded merch, right?
