Earlier this year, Julie Phan shared her story with Independent Strong readers on how she built her Sam's Club sublease from the ground up. She wrote: "While technically a sublease within Sam’s Club, this practice feels entirely my own. I have complete control over staffing, equipment, and the services we offer. "The most valuable lesson I’ve learned? Building a successful practice requires unwavering dedication and time. You can’t simply wait for patients to come knocking. You must actively engage with your community, create a strong online presence, build trust, and inspire confidence in your expertise. That’s the true path to success!" 📣 ATTENTION RATEFAST COMMUNITY! 🚨 Case Study: A dedicated 46-year-old nurse's life took an unexpected turn when a routine patient transfer resulted in a severe knee injury. The incident left her with a 15% Whole Person Impairment and a staggering 56% loss of daily function, dramatically impacting her ability to perform the job she loved. The nurse's recovery journey was fraught with complications. Mild arthritis and residual effects from a prior surgery compounded her condition, leading to a protracted 59-month treatment period. Throughout this time, she endured a seemingly endless cycle of medications, therapy sessions, and specialist consultations, all while navigating the complex workers' compensation process. Had RateFast been utilized, the outcome could have been significantly different: *Case resolution in 7 months instead of 59 * Cost reduction from $46,836 to just $1,700 * Faster return to modified duty RateFast's innovative approach offers numerous benefits: * Timely P&S reports, even when Primary Treating Physicians can't provide them * Efficient handling of complex multi-injury cases * Avoidance of lengthy QME processes * Streamlined MMI determination For nurse case managers and adjusters, RateFast represents a powerful tool to expedite claim resolution and improve outcomes. It not only saves time and money but also helps injured workers like this nurse regain their livelihoods sooner. This case underscores how RateFast can transform workers' compensation management, offering a more efficient and humane approach to injury recovery and claim resolution. By leveraging RateFast's capabilities, similar cases could be resolved more quickly, benefiting injured workers, employers, and insurance carriers alike. #Why Accurate Billing is Crucial for Nurse Practitioners and How AA Meds Solutions Can Help 1. It's time for a special Employee Spotlight of the month, Christina Pham! Christina is thoughtful, faces challenges head on and with determination to succeed, and kind. She is a superstar on the CMC team. Please take a moment to get to know her! Q: How many years have you been with CMC? A: I have been working with CMC a little over 2 years now. Q: What is your role? A: I am the coordinator for AL/MS nursing homes. I schedule dental visits for facilities and work closely with the insurance provider to ensure a smooth process for everyone involved, the patient, their sponsor and/or their loved ones, the facilities, as well as our field teams. Q: Tell us about how your role helps facilities to get care for their residents and participants. A: I play a small but satisfying role in helping our participants/residents with taking care of their oral health by seeing our associated dentists. Which in turn, helps them feel better in many ways. Whether it be alleviating pain or completing the denture process to possibly allow them proper nutrition. One participant’s daughter was so excited that her father was able to receive his dentures in a timely manner so he could finally have his “Friday Fish Fry”. She called me just to show appreciation and that felt great to be a part of. Q: How does your role help providers? A: I pay close attention to their travel and ensure their visits make sense on a day-to-day basis. We serve many facilities in AL and it is important to be strategic in coordinating where they go. It keeps them happy and everything running smoothly. Q: Why do you like working at CMC? A: I really enjoy networking with others, and this has given me an opportunity to do that in addition to being a part of a mission that serves the elderly community. CMC provides an easy-going family business environment that is often stress free. Q: Tell us about a specific time you felt you were "doing great things." A: There have been some occasions that a family member of the patient felt uneasy about the process and having to communicate with so many to get answers. I am always happy to take those calls. The start of the conversation might be rocky, but I have learned to listen, they want to be heard, then offer options to solve their concerns. The conversation ends on a more positive note, and I enjoy putting their mind at ease that their family is going to be taken care of, which gives me the sense of satisfaction. Q: What's one interesting fact about yourself most people don't know? A: Cooking is a passion of mine and my little boy loves to assist. My mother would tell you I was meant to be a Chef. I really enjoy making many dishes of other cultures. My husband is Vietnamese, and I have learned a lot from his family over the past 10 years. Also, cleaning is my jam. It distresses me, calms me, and helps me work through any anxiety I might be experiencing.

https://lnkd.in/gR3spEjR I am truly dismayed that, the one medical professional involved with a surgical procedure on patients responsible for keeping said patients alive, is the one Blue Shield and Blue Cross are deeming unworthy of complete compensation. Mind you, if a procedure runs past the allotted time limit arbitrarily deemed average, the majority of the time, they are not the one on the team responsible for the overage. The surgeon is. So the surgeon, the hospital and or facility, the nurses, and techs and other personnel are all paid for their extra time, but the one person on the team responsible to get the patient revived is the one they mess with seems highly counterintuitive? Is this the future of American Medicine? What next? Our healthcare costs are out of control. This move is not to put a cap on that, it's to increase profits for two of the largest insurers in the country. What price are we paying for corporate profits if you can't take it with you?
