Great to attend the Bisnow event today in Dublin in The Eight Building with Rory Kennedy. A building that we delivered the CAT A install on as PM. Key takeaways from the Irish Office Summit: ➡ Majority of tenants now want best in class in terms of sustainability (BER A3, LEED Gold etc) ➡ Landlords should consider improving their stock to retain tenants to avoid void periods ➡ In the medium term there is a lack of new office developments in Dublin with focus likely to turn to refurb and repurposing of spaces ➡ Some existing office stock will likely never return to market as habitable offices with change of use likely ➡ Tenants seek hotel quality communal spaces & amenities in new build developments ➡ Companies should encourage staff back to the office environment rather than mandating it by creating comfortable & engaging work spaces ➡ Irish sustainability agenda will likely move more to align with UK with push towards carbon savings

BBJ asked me about WELL Certified offices: “It is not impossible for a tenant to get [their office] WELL Certified in a non-certified building, but the WELL Core Certification of the building makes the process much easier and quicker. Therefore, I expect an increase in the number of WELL Certified office buildings in Budapest,” she comments. Right now, seven buildings are Well Core certified in Budapest, and seven others are WELL Precertified. The number of WELL Certified spaces has a constant increase of 13-15% every quarter in Europe.
