Greetings! #Ramzan is around the corner. As our #socialmedia is flooded with tons of posts on #spirituality, #goodness and #kindness (either genuine or otherwise), here are few my humble 2 scents: - This Ramzan, I hope our #workplaces aren’t scheduling meetings/townhalls during namaz time, which is quite normal during regular months. - I hope companies put their #policies in practice and ensure timely disbursement of #salaries and #commissions to their employees, business partners (distributors, franchisees etc.) and vendors. - I hope we stop exploiting our junior staff (especially contractual one). They are as #human as those who are entitled for full spread of perks and benefits. - I hope that we actually create a safe space for #women at work which goes beyond gimmicky purplish ceremonies, beyond distribution of 3 piece lawn suit vouchers and beyond photoshoots for social media shoutout. - I hope we all understand that our #body clock works differently during Ramzan. 5 mins up and down in marking attendance wont initiate World War III. “Breathe in, Breathe out”. - I hope managers and executives who are “THRILLED on #LinkedIn” for their initiatives, should also be thrilled on extending helping hand to their blue color staff. The tea boys, security guards, drivers etc. won’t be having much at their end. They need us. - By and large, the hypocrisy of #Pakistan’s industries and workplaces (including academic institutions) are unmistakable. This Ramzan, I hope that we give a genuine reality check to our values, conduct and business practices. The #Almighty has blessed us with another 30 days #challenge. In our respective capacities, I hope we create a breakthrough (for ourselves at least, if not for the others). Have a great month. The timer starts now.

Brijlall ( WSIB ) ANTISEMITISM, HATRED, AND RASESS; After a workplace accident, WSIB put me through hell and made my injuries twice as worse permanently then robbed me of my benefits just because of the colour of my skin. Sandra Di Carlo the case manager took me out from physio therapy that was helping me with my recovery and sent me to wsib Doctor and physio therapy that made my injuries twice as worse permanently. Deb Remekie, The lady at WSIB that robbed me of my benefit, she said that I can sell jewelry, she thinks because I am black I can steal jewelry and sell, so she decided to rob me of my benefit. And it's not a joke she said it verbally and in writing. And believed it or not the APPEALS TRIBUNAL agreed with her without a doubt or any question Atal. The Tribunal did not look at my file, apparently they don't even care to look at my file. The Board is an independent decision-making body that functions at arm’s length from the government. Response from the Deputy Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development The ministry is responsible for the legislative framework for workplace safety and insurance in Ontario. The WSIB is an independent organization that operates at arm’s length from the ministry and oversees the administration of workplace safety and insurance benefits and services. As a result, the Minister and ministry staff cannot comment on or get involved in individual case NOT EVEN THE FAIR PRACTICE COMMISSIONER WILL INTERVENE.
