The Data is Clear. #TakeActionTuesday: August 26 marks #WomensEqualityDay — the anniversary of the date the 19th Amendment was passed in 1920, granting women the right to vote.    While this was a historic milestone, not all women initially gained the ability to participate in elections. Black, Native American, Asian American immigrants and Latinx women faced forms of voter suppression such as intimidation, literacy tests and citizenship restrictions for decades. These women were fighting for equality over 100 years ago, and WSF has been working for 50 years (and counting) to secure equality and equity for girls and women on and off the field of play through our advocacy, research, programming, and resources.     As we celebrate Women’s Equality Day, we are proud of how far we have come, but we remain committed to our mission of equity for all. #TheEquityProject    Your Turn:  1. NALCAB in the News: With the support of the Minority Business Development Agency - U.S. Department of Commerce (MBDA), NALCAB awarded Enterprising Latinas, Inc., $70,000 in funding and specialized training to adopt new lending technology, improve processes, and help the flow of loan capital for minority business owners in the Tampa Bay community. In some ways it feels like 3 days together isn’t enough. That we are just getting started. #NAWBO sisters in Washington DC remind me that we are here to support each other and sometimes the best way to get to know each other is through adversity! When there are gaps, we step in. My Washington DC big takeaway… if we want to advocate for women in business, we need to vote and elect women politicians into office. They often sponsor and promote the bills that support women because they also GET IT! Not that others aren’t willing to support the bills… just a lot harder to create momentum. #microbusiness

Have you ever organized an event or launched a course? Then you’ll appreciate this: So my new Journey to the Soul group offer starts tomorrow. My goal for this group was 10 registrants. This morning I was at 3. Thank god, registration is now at 11 people and a few more are pending. My Takeaways: 1. If you do what you do because you are passionate about it, it helps you keep pushing. I truly don’t want people to miss out so im all in when I offer my offer. 2. Don’t lose hope. Ever. (Brings to mind R’ Tzvi Kushalevsky for those that appreciate the reference!) 3.
