#weekap When I started my new job at Swiss Life Deutschland and therefore joined my new team, I was excited to meet the new colleagues and how they will welcome me into their circle and how our #waywework will look like. Every change, just as me joining, makes it necessary to #inspect and #adapt continuously established processes. Why we are on a great track improving constantly is quite obvious to many people but still not outspoken often enough, it's the first pillar of #agile work: Over the last weeks #transparency helped us (just a little snippet): - talking about individual expertise that were not/partially known by the rest of the team creating new opportunities for #collaboration - create #clearance, both on personal and professional level - #identify and approach impediments early - ... - [insert your top picks here] Without the already experienced level of #openess and #trust this wouldn't be possible and we wouldn't be able to grow the way we do. It's been 1 month already! I joined Slalom just over a month ago. Reflecting on my first month this afternoon I've jotted down 4 things that have really stood out to me that make Slalom a great place to work and why we deliver amazing service to our customers. 🏅 Customer focus - Slalom, more than anywhere I've worked, are relentless with customer focus, driving value and partnership with our customers. Our Customer Satisfaction score is a visible tier 1 metric and people are held to account on it. Part of our approach is to build our "Customer love" plan with a client - how are we going to add value to our clients over and above the contracted deliverables. 🏅 Diversity - It's so refreshing to work in a business with genuine diversity across the team. For example, in our Manchester market team our SLT of six includes four women. Two key benefits of this for me - it brings a rounded and balanced perspective and offers great role models for our teams and beyond - having a daughter myself it's really important for me to see continued progression in this area and seeing women in senior leadership positions. On International Women's Day it's fitting to shout out to Caroline Grant, Catherine Wilks, Lindsay Hymas and Louise Barker who do an amazing job in leading the team and are inspiring our future leaders. 🏅 Office working - We have an amazing office space to share with colleagues and clients here both in Manchester and London. There's been such a buzz in our Manchester office and the concept of the "moments that matter" is something I've not seen before. Our teams are expected to be in for these moments and because our people are getting so much out of connecting with clients and teams in person, we're now seeing people coming in 2-3 days a week, creating a really good balance of office and home working. 🏅 Local & Global - Our Manchester market team is over 100 experienced professionals focused on serving clients in Manchester and the region - from Strategy through to software engineering. Slalom is a global business with over 12,000 employees and a reach across North America, Europe and Asia, so our people and our customers really do get the best of local expertise and focus with the benefit of global experiences and capability. Here's to many more months helping to grow our Slalom team here in Manchester !
