So our clients use Dialogue DX to hear and understand things like patient willingness to request specific treatments. When are they asking for a treatment? What questions do they have about it? What do they want to know so that they can evaluate their treatment options? And how do they make those considerations and ultimately decide to stay with your treatment or switch to your treatment or in the converse, away from your treatment? Patients and providers also talk about concerns related to treatment, adherence to the treatment regimen, and what potential barriers may exist, and we pick up those conversations organically as well. Throughout that organic conversation, you understand and can get in a nuance of what's most important to patients. They may come right out and say this is the most important thing to me or they can do. They can provide that information in some of the follow up materials like the Diaries and coupling that with what was said in the exam, you can get to that rich, comprehensive insight. What triggers switching, our conversations about switching treatments, What brand names are discussed? What are they aware of and what are their perceptions of? Overall treatment efficacy, have they heard of your treatment of a competitors and what do they really think about it? And finally, what really is discussed at routine checks or at any of these different types of appointments that you may be getting insight into along that journey?

Me: “Based on your test results, you are unable to adequately metabolize a medication known as 5-FU. If a physician were to prescribe this medication, it could be fatal.” Client: “How is this testing not offered to everyone?” Me: “There are so many unanswered questions in healthcare right now, this being one of many.” ~ Client session this morning to discuss pharmacogenomics results There’s so much I wish I knew when my Dad was sick. There’s so much I wish more people knew. My thought for today: despite the historical picture of a patient sitting quietly in a physician’s office waiting to passively receive instructions, this doesn’t have to be your reality. You have options. You have resources. You have the ability to know how your body will respond to medications well before you will ever need them. If this is news to you, reach out.
