Each year KKW provides all associates with the opportunity to nominate an employee for the "Greg Beck Award". The award was started and named after one of our fellow Owner Operator's Greg Beck, who unfortunately passed away. Greg was a hard worker who displayed ownership mentality on every level. He went above and beyond and took pride as if KKW was his own company. The award is issued to an employee owner who most embodies the Employee Stock Ownership company culture and lives and breathes its values on a daily basis. The person who receives this award displays an OWNERSHIP mentality taking pride in their work and cares about the success of the company throughout their environment simply by being themselves. They’re jovial, encouraging, supportive, and friendly. Quite simply, they make work a better place. During last weeks celebration the 2024 "Greg Beck Award" was issued to employee Gene Whitaker. Congratulations Gene! #ESOP #transportation #warehouse #logistics #supplychain

"Late Bob's Red Mill founder leaves a legacy of employee ownership. Bob Moore, who passed away at 94, chose to transfer full ownership of his company to his 700 employees instead of selling out to corporations. This unique model has made Bob's Red Mill a global success and a shining example of fair and benevolent business practices. #EmployeeOwnership #BobRedMill #BusinessEthics"

Co Founder of The No Nonsense Business Network and Fair Job Ltd. removing politics from the workplace, restoring harmony, teamwork and productivity.
Companies which get involved in political and ideological movements should be prepared to lose customers and upset a significant number of employees. This week we have seen Tesco Macquarie Group Just Eat Takeaway.com Network Rail and others sponsor the #BritishLGBTAwards where actor #DavidTennant in his acceptance speech for winning 'Best Celebrity Ally' controversially attacked Kemi Badenoch . Whether or not you agree with David or Kemi is beside the point, why would you give your brand to a 3rd party to trash in this way? Today there have been very interesting developments in the USA. Those of you who aren't American Tractor Supply Company is a Fortune 500, employs about 50k people and has 5500 stores across the USA. It sells rural and agricultural supplies and clothing, in the UK we call these 'Farm Shops'. Their customer base is hardworking, rural, mud on boots, socially conservative. When a customer spilled the beans on Tractor Supply's corporate DEI policy which was pretty radical and included activities that were overtly political and heavily focused on Critical Race Theory and radical trans ideology it didn't go down so well with the customers to say the least. Within 2 weeks, the company has done a 180 degree turn, here's their statement. Which, has elements of our 6 Rules for Workplace Harmony - Number 1 NO POLITICS/NO ACTIVISM. The problem with #DEI is that it is, in itself an ideology, a political position and worse, it essentially tells your customers/employees that they are morally lacking and need 're educating' by your HR department. This is because DEI, like so many ideas in the Brave New World, assumes that people always have the WORST intents and therefore need 're adjusting' so the politics of persuasion are applied: "our workplace would be great if everyone thought like we do" when people capitualate the argument then becomes: "wouldn't our workplace be great if those dissenters (racists, homophobes, transphobes, bigots, climate deniers...fill in more here) weren't around anymore?" There are an increasing number of people in the Corporate World who are now realising the folly of #DEI and that the report which is used to justify it from McKinsey is utter hokum when put under the magnifying glass. If you run a business and you think it is time to reset your workplace relationships then consider joining www.fairjob.co.uk we will guide you through detoxifying and depoliticising your business. #TractorSupply #GetWokeGoBroke #EmployeeActivism #Pride2024 #Stonewall #LGBT #UKEmployers

Mom | Chief Communications Officer | Top Women In Grocery | Gartner Marketing & Comms Award Winner | Top Women in PR
The latest National Grocers Association research is a great reminder of just how crucial it is to keep our teams informed and inspired. From #grocery employees and beyond, no one should miss out on growth opportunities for lack of awareness, including the fact that grocery stores can be a source of stable, flexible and interesting work that also offer people the chance to grow. A huge part of why I love working for Advantage Solutions is that we see career growth as a lattice, not a ladder, so we strive to create new pathways for career mobility while connecting our corporate team more deeply with our frontline stars. This isn’t just a job for us. We care about what people do, but even more about what they can become. It’s a passion – and a purpose – to ensure everyone knows their potential and feels supported every step of the way. Here's to ongoing collaboration across the industry to enable advancement. https://lnkd.in/g_4yVATV #AdvantageProud #CorporateCulture #FrontlineHeroes
