Couldn't agree more Klaus. Such a shame. If only a fraction of the current media 'AI hype' was focused on communicating the many benefits of Kaizen (increase in performance, accountability, focus etc etc) then many organisations and procurement/supply chain departments would be in a much healthier position. Top-down sponsorship, process awareness and optimisation, accountability, and team recognition all sound like obvious and pre-existing concepts within organisations. They often are at some stage, but may also get overshadowed by the chaos that modern business generates. Starting with Kaizen, for many organisations is an uncomfortable process where the benefits are hard-won and egos need to be parked. From my experience though, everyone that undertakes Kaizen is a much better operator and leader following the process. This should not be surprising as it's just good ol' fashioned hard work.

Kaizen is a Japanese concept that focuses on self-discipline and personal improvement for the greater good. It goes beyond continuous improvement, which is merely an outcome of practicing Kaizen principles.
