Even mini #adventures can have a big impact! I like the way my brain works after a rush of cold air on a "flight" to work! ⛷ This week, I took the 🚉 train from Oslo to Kvitfjell, then hopped a chairlift up the mountain to visit the Crosspoint Labs team. As part of a larger team event, I delivered a fun, interactive Communication Basics Boot Camp. Why? Because #communication is key to achieving any goal. After lunch in the ☀ sunshine near the campfire, we learned about: ✅ Communication Principles 😬 Communication Pains 🌎 Cross-cultural Communication 🙋♂️ And what it means to take #responsibility for influencing good communication in any setting. Then we tackled 💪 Communication Practice, with challenge cases tailored to the needs and experiences of the group. (Always my favorite part.) 😎 Team offsites are a great way to stimulate a healthy culture. We get to see and know and appreciate one another in a different way. Plus, being away from the office helps prepare the brain to learn and grow. Thanks for inviting me to make an #impact with your people, Einar Oftedal & Øystein Fladby. So, as you all know, last year I had the pleasure of bringing on three fantastic team members. ☺️ Last week, we experienced our first company retreat👀, which was more of a half-day hackathon with some time for connection. My aim was for this time to be incredibly valuable, not just for myself but also for them. Having been to numerous draining company retreats in the past, I wanted ours to be different. We kicked off by addressing one of our current challenges: finding a new brand name for our corporate line of business. After just 2 hours of brainstorming and searching names online, we found the perfect fit. Following our productive session, we enjoyed a quick lunch, took a break, and then challenged ourselves with an escape room. I don't know who needs to hear this, but consider giving your team a retreat this year. It doesn't have to be extravagant, but coming together, getting on the same page, and maintaining the human touch in your brand and business is crucial. Retreats provide an excellent platform for that. #companyretreat #facilitation #teambuilding

Our yearly spring event in Munich 🌼 Every year our remote/hybrid team meets in our HQ in Munich for in-person work-together sessions and fun games. This year we divided the time between workshops in the morning and #teambuilding games in the afternoon. Since most of us work remotely, we find the time together to be best spent on some collaborative brainstorming, mini-hackathons and workhops. This allows for cross-team collaboration and working together with members of other teams you don't usually work together with. 🤝 We also make sure to provide sufficient time for connection and fun. The rest of the day is spent on games, such as Charades, Trivia, and Taboo. 🎲 We have found these events to be highly effective in: 🔹Better Communication - Provides an oportunity for collaborative problem-solving and getting to know each other's working styles. 🔹Onboarding and Integration - Our team recently grew and we have new members. Meeting colleagues face-to-face helps new employees feel integrated into the team more quickly and establish personal connections.  🔹Building Relationships - Especially for new employees, it is easier to establish relationships with teammates and feel more relaxed with future communication and collaboration. Crestech's Trip to Jim Corbett: Where Work Meets Fun! 😄🎉 Recently, the Crestech team embarked on an exciting adventure to Jim Corbett, and the trip was nothing short of amazing! 🌄 Our offsite retreat was all about striking that perfect balance between work and play. During the day, we focused on team-building activities and professional development, ensuring that we grow stronger as a team and bring our A-game to the workplace. But when the sun went down, it was time for some serious fun! 🎶 The DJ parties under the starry night sky were epic, with everyone showing off their best dance moves and having a blast. The energy and enthusiasm were off the charts! The smiles on everyone's faces were contagious. From laughter-filled team games to mouth-watering BBQ nights, this trip was a rollercoaster of emotions and experiences. 🍔🏆 We left Jim Corbett with not just great memories, but also a renewed sense of togetherness and motivation. This offsite was a reminder that work doesn't have to be all about deadlines and meetings.
