My hybrid keynote experience set-up yesterday: Thank you to Patty Vogan-Geyer for inviting me to present “Signature Leadership” for your Business Leaders’ Mastermind Group! It was a pleasure partnering with you. 8 Hybrid Do's When Giving a Presentation that I've found are useful: 1: Make it interactive -- Between group members situated in the same place and between virtual speaker-audience. 2. Structure it so it flows between mini-keynotes: relevant and inspiring stories, examples, and metaphors, practical takeaways, small and large group activities, de-briefs after activities, space for spontaneous questions that arise, and breaks. 3. Be on time. 4. Use immersive visuals where the speaker is on the screen in relation to the slides (Examples: Prezi, Ecamm). 5. Equipment: (facing towards you from both sides - bought on Amazon) camera (a good webcam = Insta360 with a PlexiCam for level eye contact), clear sound (a microphone = Audio-Technica) and a reliable WIFI connection. 6. Customize it -- make the session uniquely connected to each participant and ensure it's inclusive. 7. Differentiate. Business audiences have (almost) seen it all in virtual settings between presentations, courses, webinars and having the world of learning at their fingerprints online. What is your blue ocean that you can offer in a hybrid session? 8. End it by bringing the experience full circle by involving the audience's heads and their hearts.
