One paper in particle caught my attention this week out of NSF NCAR. A community-centric AI framework for training and validating AI models. It's called the Community Research Earth Digital Intelligence Twin (CREDIT). This groundbreaking framework is poised to transform how we develop, validate, and deploy AI-based weather models. Key discussions on AI maturity, the GEO AI community of practice, and autonomous workflows highlighted the importance of plan and innovate strategies. Emphasizing open data standards and transparency, the event underscored how data-driven decisions and solutions can transform our approaches to various challenges. The talk on latency and cloud-ready formats reminded us of the importance of efficiency in modern technology. Seeing the evolution from using images as raw input to insights as the final answer was fascinating. Deep learning, embedding vectors, and the concept of sanctuary and flexibility in data usage were key takeaways that will drive future innovations.
