#LifeAtKoko: "My past two months at Koko have been nothing like what I imagined the work environment would be. My initial impression was of a typical office environment with typical office personalities. Thankfully, Koko was nothing of the sort.
Koko provided the best work environment for my first in-office work experience. The office alone is beautiful, but it's the people who make it exceptional. Koko is unique in providing a truly equal and integrating environment.
There was genuine encouragement to share ideas and thoughts across and within teams. Everyone at Koko was more like friends than coworkers, working seamlessly together.
The marketing team, however, was the highlight of my experience. Working as a marketing intern from day one, each member made me feel genuinely welcome and included. Despite the nervousness on my first day, I blended into the team seamlessly and made memories I won't forget. Meeting the unique personalities and genuine people every day made each workday fun and memorable, making me look forward to coming back to work each day.
As much as the people were amazing, so was the work. I truly gained a full 360-degree view of marketing, exactly what I wanted from my time at Koko. The head of marketing ensured I got exposure to each area of marketing: CRM Management, CMS, Influencer Marketing, Content etc.
Although I started my internship during the climax of the last three days leading up to their Black Friday campaign, I worked here and there, helping where I could, and still learned significantly. Going forward, I gained much knowledge during the preparation and execution of the Koko Christmas campaign.
Aside from the campaigns, the TikToks and Koko Christmas jingle that I initially dreaded and made deals to avoid were truly memorable. While being "forced" into it, I'm truly glad I participated because it turned out to be a fun and memorable experience. Those TikToks will never disappear.
The only downside I ever saw was my lack of experience and understanding. However, this concern was always immediately eliminated as each member of the marketing team and those outside it showed immense support and never made it seem like there were any dumb questions.
Koko provided the best first office experience, and I genuinely hope my future work environments can match the people and work I experienced at Koko in these past two months."
