CCTV is a very nice protection to have – and once it’s installed you want it to run smoothly. EVOTEC CCTV health-check system automatically performs these essential maintenance checks (without you having to think about it): 👉 Reports when the connection to the CCTV system fails or the system goes offline 👉 Detects if a camera has developed a fault or is tampered with 👉 Detects hard disk failures of if it stops recording 👉 Reports if the system is recording for less than expected duration 👉 Reports when the time is incorrect or tampered with 👉 Detects if the camera images are too bright or dark, out of focus, or out of alignment Our online service system autonomously logs into each CCTV system every hour and performs a number of maintenance checks, such as Camera Status, Disk and Recording Status, Time Accuracy, and more. Issues are detected and reported when they occur, and service teams can be sent Status Report emails showing which systems require remedial action. If you are looking into installing a security system and need advice, contact us for expert guidance.

The long-established standards relating to escape door hardware, EN 1125:2008 and EN 179:2008 require egress to be achieved with a single action of the device fitted to the door. Balancing emergency escape with security is, however, often challenging. While safety should take priority, the above standards have made it difficult to manage security risks. With the growth of the access control market and more electronic hardware products being used on fire doors and escape doors, the standard EN 13637:2015 was introduced. DHF’s & GAI’s ‘Access control on escape doors’ provides clarification on what should and should not be used as access control and electronic locking on escape doors: https://lnkd.in/eDCENdQq #TechnicalTuesday #BestPractice #BuildingHardware #AccessControl

It's that time of year to put your clock's forward an hour. Now most of us don't even notice these days (unless it's those really complicated car or oven clocks that are just too difficult to change). That should be the case with your security systems IF you are using the latest technology. If not then it's probably a good idea to go into your system settings to make sure everyone can get in when they return to work for access control systems. Does it matter if the time doesn't change on things like CCTV and intruder alarms. We'd say yes categorically for CCTV as you need that time stamp if footage needs to be used for any reason whatsoever. Alarms well again it's a good idea to change them if it's not happened automatically for no other reason than false alarms if there is any set on times programmed in. Hope that helps!

Secure every entry with confidence with our electric strike monitoring options. Monitoring options in electric strikes are crucial for enhancing security and ensuring operational reliability in access control systems. These options provide real-time updates on the status of doors, including whether they are securely closed, locked, or open. This helps security personnel quickly respond to any unauthorized access attempts or product malfunctions. Additionally, monitoring ensures doors and hardware work correctly and can be easily integrated with access control systems, enhancing the overall security of the opening. By keeping doors secure and functioning properly, monitoring options make electronic security systems even more effective. To learn more, click here: https://ow.ly/E4X350Sw5ze
