I am a freshman in this fashion world, and I am #exhausted. Some people may get offended by it because they may not be facing it. But the fashion industry is really exploiting designers. They literally want us for free as freshmen with prior knowledge of adobe suits,print development, pattern making,garment construction, and relevant experience. They want us to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. They want us to work overtime, and it's not only for freshmen; it's for every corporate worker. I am not saying that they shouldn't ask for these things, but is asking for these things within a minimum salary really worth it? Companies want an experienced and skilled designer within the salary range of a fresher Or you can say they want a fresher with all the expertise. The fashion industry is now realizing the importance of sustainable fashion, which is slow and healthy for the environment. We, as corporate workers, also need a sustainable environment to work in that is less harmful to our physical, mental, and emotional health. We often laugh at "#corporate #majdoor" jokes. But as part of this, did we ever try to make any change? We were forced to punch in at 9 a.m., but did we ever get the chance to punch out exactly at 6 p.m.? We are educated, we have degrees, and we have skills, but we still behave like those uneducated laborers. But let me tell you this: they don't have deadlines, and they can leave on time. Creativity comes from a peaceful and healthy mind, and designing is all about creativity. It takes time to create something beautiful, and I think we should do something about it . We need to create a healthy work environment and stop encouraging overdoing at the cost of our health. Please share your views and experience on it.

Program in Fashion Design: An Opening to Originality and Creativity An organized educational route that gives ambitious designers the know-how and abilities necessary to thrive in the cutthroat business of fashion is a fashion design program. These programs assist students in navigating the many facets of the fashion industry by providing a blend of technical know-how, creative thinking, and business acumen. Pattern-making, fabric selection, sketching and illustration, and garment fabrication are the mainstays of a fashion design curriculum. Through the use of CAD tools and applications like Adobe Illustrator, students can also master digital design approaches. Programs frequently include fashion history, trend analysis, and sustainability in addition to these creative talents, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the fashion ecosystem. Hands-on experience through projects, internships, and portfolio development is also emphasized in many programs. With this hands-on approach, students may hone their abilities and get insightful perspectives from the business. Students are further prepared for employment in design, merchandising, or fashion entrepreneurship through exposure to real-world design difficulties and networking opportunities with industry professionals. A fashion design curriculum can lead to a variety of job routes, such as fashion designer, textile designer, stylist, or fashion buyer, regardless of the student's skill level. Graduates are well-equipped to make their mark in the fast-paced world of fashion because they have a solid foundation in both technical knowledge and creativity. .

Hey Friends! It's been so cool to see the response since initially opening the Footwear Intern! I've had a lot of cool conversations with people all over the globe and the consensus is, people are hungry for real experience and trying to find the best ways to get it! As always, my hope is that this can be a solution to someone that hasn't found the right opportunity yet! Here are some of the frequently asked questions I've had so far. Program Link: https://lnkd.in/gRnBGjGy FAQs How many hours a week for the interns? My best guess is at least 5 hours a week - but people will have the ability to work more if they choose. 5-10 hours seems reasonable depending on a lighter or heavier work load that week and how new the concepts are to the individual. (I say this with a caveat that I hate when an article tells you how long it should take to read... because I'm a slow reader and seeing that generally small number is always disheartening 😂 ). What time will the live meetings be held? Per the schedule, there will be new content/instruction released once a week. I originally stated that every other week will be a live session, which will hold true, but it won't be mandatory attendance. Every live session will be recorded and able to view on your own schedule. Times for live sessions will be determined after June 17th, when we see what availability looks like for each intern. (What's great about the Skool platform is the ability to chat individually and communicate as a group at anytime. So chains of communication will always be open). Do you need any specific software for the course? Illustrator - Illustrator will be key for the course and won't be provided, so you should get that to participate. I'll have a link in the course on where to go to download illustrator (it's usually a monthly fee, I believe around $20 USD). 3D evaluation will be incorporated in the 3rd month of the internship, but 3D knowledge or software isn't necessary. (If you want to use your 3D skills on a project though, it can totally be incorporated - let's chat through it!). Does registration close? The first day of the intern program will be June 17th - I'll close registration on June 15th, just to get things setup over the weekend in prep for Monday the 17th 👍 I've had multiple questions on topics that people might want to focus on in the internship. My general response is; we'll be following the exact process of footwear design for these companies and you'll learn and participate in everything it takes to go from initial brief to a first concept delivery to a factory. If you want to have an opportunity to dive deeper on a particular subject matter throughout the course [market research, color/material, sustainability, tech packs, 3D, etc.] - you can totally do so and I'll work with you to make it happen. I want to teach you exactly what you need to know and be as accommodating as possible to your interests/schedule as possible! Go team!

Reflecting on my journey as a graphic designer Starting out in the world of graphic design, I found myself grappling with the complexities of the craft. It seemed like an impenetrable maze, with each project presenting new challenges and lessons to be learned. However, I quickly discovered that the key to unlocking my potential lay in diving headfirst into as many design projects as possible. Through trial and error, I began to refine my skills, honing my craft with each design endeavor. Yet, despite my growing proficiency, the road to success was far from smooth. Months of tireless effort and countless job applications yielded nothing but rejection after rejection. It was a disheartening period, filled with self-doubt and uncertainty. But amidst the setbacks, I refused to lose sight of my passion. With unwavering determination, I persisted in my pursuit of a breakthrough. And finally, the opportunity I had been tirelessly working towards presented itself – an internship at Robustech Alloys (India) Private Limited Startup. During my time at Robustech Alloys (India) Private Limited Startup, I was challenged in ways I never could have imagined. Yet, it was through these challenges that I truly came to understand the importance of consistency and perseverance. Day in and day out, I poured my heart and soul into my work, pushing myself to new heights and embracing every opportunity for growth. Looking back, I realise that every rejection, every setback, was simply a stepping stone on the path to where I am today. Each experience, whether positive or negative, has played a crucial role in shaping me into the designer I am proud to be. My journey serves as a reminder that success is not measured by the absence of obstacles, but rather by the resilience with which we face them. It's a testament to the power of perseverance and the transformative impact of unwavering dedication. As I continue to chart my course in the world of graphic design, I am grateful for the challenges that have brought me to this point.
